To the point: My gf and I play WH40k at least every other week and well... my space marines are out of control. I need to balance my death guard roster against them so we can table bigger armies. What would you recommend to bolster my death guard army?
Not looking for hard counters, it's all about fun but atm its just too imba.
Space Marine forces
Primaris
13x intercessor
5x hellblasters
1x librarian
2x lieutenants
1x captain in gravis
1x repulsor
3x inceptor

Regular (classic? SM)
1x venerable dreadnought
10x deathwatch veterans
1x captain Artemis
1x corvus blackstar
5x space marine terminators

Deathguard forces
10x plague marine
26x pox walkers
1x foetid bloat drone
1x lord of contagion
1x malignant plaguecaster
1x noxious blightbringer
1x plague burst crawler

We play all kinds of modes with these armies with all kinds of layouts. Any suggestions are welcome and I thank you for your time and consideration.

Add Mortarion. That should tip things towards the Deathguard pretty handily (maybe too far, ha).

Gonna second adding Mortarion. Amazing model. I’m still working on painting up mine.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Morty is very cool but I'd kind of like to avoid fielding a super unit like that. It'd be cool, don't get me wrong however
Id rather have a mix of smaller stuff. Mortarion just isn't going to show up to every battle.
I thought maybe this to bolster
1x prince of nurgle
5x blightlord termies
7x plague marine

Maybe 1 more PBC

DG like any army of Chaos is heavily (sometimes cripplingly) dependant on charachter choice.
Alternativly, get more Dp 's, and Cultists, pcb is also good choice.

GW:"Space marines got too many options to balance, therefore we decided to legends HH units."
Players: "why?!? Now we finally got decent plastic kits and you cut them?"
Chaos marines players: "Since when are Daemonengines 30k models and why do i have NO droppods now?"
GW" MONEY.... erm i meant TOO MANY OPTIONS (to resell your army to you again by disalowing former units)! Do you want specific tyranid fighiting Primaris? Even a new sabotage lieutnant!"
Chaos players: Guess i stop playing or go to HH.

Second the "maybe don't start with Morty".

I ran a pair of demo games for some new guys once, and because I only had 1000pts of CWE with me (there was another player for them to play against), they both got 500pts of my Eldar. Asurman was 240 points at the time.

One guy got just Asurman and a couple small units. Watched most of his stuff die. Then killed 500 points of Chaos Marines with just the one dude.

Made for a very odd and unsatisfying game for that player.

Vehicles would help. The deathwatch veterans fundamentally ignore the extra toughness that Death Guard bring to the table, which can skew the games badly. Wounding anything on 2+ is problematic for a lot of reasons.

Mortarian would probably heavily tilt the scales in favor of DG, but again, that might not be a bad thing if the DG player isn't very good.

Don't go for Mortarion.

He is a heavy hitter for sure, but he will make games really one-sided. If the space marines outmaneuver or kill Mortarion, the game is over, if Mortarion manages to catch a blob of marines, the game is over as well. In addition, he takes up a fourth of your army selection, massively limiting your choices. He is a decent choice addition when you already have a solid 2000 point army so you can swap him in and out at will, but he's not something you want to run every single game.

So I suggest getting the following:
- A winged daemon prince with dual talons. Just get the regular daemon prince and paint him up in DG colors, don't worry about somehow getting wings on the Nurgle Daemon Prince. Field him with the suppurating plate relic to have the most durable daemon prince in the game.
- More plague marines. Get another set of seven starer marines (ebay!) and another box of ETB marines. This will leave you with one unit running 3 plasma guns and one unit with two blight launchers and a plasma gun. Against marines pox walkers are rarely good for anything more than holding objectives, while plague marines don't care about bolter fire that much. Even when wounding on 2+, they still need to get past 3+/5+++ to hurt them. You can also drop Cloud of Flies on your plasma unit to keep them safe. On top of that, overcharged plasma and blight launchers are both great at killing marines, evening the odds a bit.
- Another blight drone. Either get another one from the starter set, or the stand alone kit if you want one with a flesh mower or magnetize for all three options. They are roughly equivalent in power, so pick what you like best.
- Foul Blightspawn. His flamer melts primaris like nothing and a lucky roll might one-shot a repulsor or corvus blackstar. Or he might do nothing all game. In any case for his few points he is a decent gamble and one of the best answers to fliers and vehicles DG has.
- Another plague burst crawler. It's hands down one of the best units death guard has. Make sure to magnetize the sponson weapons, they are one of the easiest weapons to magnetize.
- Blightlord Terminators. They are one of the best terminators in the game because they are so hard to kill and their flail of corruption can single-handedly wipe out a unit of infantry. Decent with almost any load-out that does not include a flamer weapon.
- Myphitic blight haulers OR helbrutes. If you have gotten everything else on the list you are probably lacking some ranged fire-power by now, so these two units are the way to get it unless you want to branch out into other chaos armies. I suggest using either running three or zero blight haulers as the tri-lobe rule massively improves their performance. The cover aura also helps marines and terminators a lot.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.
