Hello everyone,

This is my first in this forum, so here it is.

I am back in WH40K since last October after 15 years of absence. The V8 reactivated a bunch of friend of mine so here i am. I had no figs left so i decided to start a Space Marine army as they are quite easy to paint and play (at least that's what i thought).

Well i got crushed game after game and could not win a single game on 1vs1. I was playing against more experienced and quite competitive players but it was not nice to see... In 2vs2 i got better result so i started to seek out allies for my Space Marines.

I found cheap second hand Imperial Knights i tried it with my marines, and HOLY CRAP they were so effective. What i have found is that SM if played alone are very weak against focus, so your high value units get focus and then you lost. But if you put a bigger theat (say a knight), your high value SM units have time to pay for themselves (Repulsor, hellblasters etc....).

I would like to keep on improving my army composition and so i ask for your feedback on this army list, here it comes :

Then plan behind the list :

I know a plan doesn't resist the first minute of action but here it is anyway. I have my Gallant to run into ennemy lines and get focused, that's why i made him as resistent as possible with 2+ armor save, 4+ invul (3+ with stratagem) and a 6+ FNP. I have 2 Helverin to complete my super heavy and benefit from +3 CP, and they are here as fire support. For heavy fire i can count on my Repulsor, which should not die too soon thanks to the Gallant. All my jetpack (captain, lieutenant and inceptors) are in Deep Strike. They can snipe opportunity targets and/or take objectives. If they come all together the ennemy will suffer 54 shots S5 -1AP reroll of 1 to hit and to wound.
I have 2 assassins, the vindicare to "cover" the Gallant (my Gallant should always be in sight of my vindicare) so it can kill any infantry characters that goes for the Gallant (Smash captains for example). The Callidus well she is a good snipes of characters and can mitigate the enemy turn one with her stratagems impact.
