Hello all. I finished up my Nurgle army and met up with my buddy to throw down against his newly based Ogres at the local shop. This time we decided to bump things up to 2500pts.

Setup
Nurgle turn 1
Nurgle moves up. Reign of Chaos table hits the Furries and center unit of Sabretusks.
Ogres turn 1
Ogres advance!
Nurgle turn 2
Furries charge Giant, lone Beast of Nurgle charge Sabretusks in center
Other lone Beast charges the Firebelly on the hill.
Reign of Chaos table turns the sucks the Firebelly into the Warp and creates a Herald of Nurgle, we had to proxy him with a Furry
Furries deal 3 wounds to Giant, but he holds. Lone beast in the middle beats the Sabretusks and chances them down. Phlegm Bombardment from the Soul Grinder and Big Poppa’s magic take out come Ogres from the big unit. The successful spell adds a few more Plaguebearers to the unit with the
BSB (red die).
Ogres turn 2
Leadbeltchers charge the Furries
Ogres charge Beast of Nurgle in center
Mournfangs charge the Nurglings.
Giant and Leadbeltchers couldn’t break the Furries. Ogres beat down the lone Beast of Nurgle and Mournfangs destroy the Nurglings. Gorger sneaks onto the right flank.
Nurgle turn 3
Plaguebearers charge the Leadbeltchers. Big Poppa gets in on the action and charges the Ogres.
Beasts of Nurgle charge into the Mournfangs.
Giant still cannot break the Furries. Plaguebearers break the Leadbeltchers and pursue them. Big Poppa breaks the Ogres but decides to let them go. The newly formed Herald charged and dealt 3 wounds to the Giant on the right. The giant only deals 1 wound in return. The Beasts of Nurgle break the Mournfangs but they cannot catch them.
Ogres turn 3
Ironguts and Sabretusks charge the Soul Grinder.
Gourger charges the lone Beast on the hill.
Leadbeltchers rally but the Ogres run to the table edge. The Mournfangs also rally (pic not shown)
The Giant beats down the Furries. Ironguts and Sabretusts destroy the Soul Grinder and reform. The other Giant jumps up and down on the free Herald. The Gorger takes out the lone beast of Nurgle.
Nurgle turn 4
Both Plaguebearer units reposition for charges. Big Poppa creates some more Plaguebearers with Rancid Visitations and hits the Ironguts with Curse of the Leper. Beasts of Nurgle chase the Mournfangs off the table
Ogre turn 4
Giant charges the Plaguebearers and kills more when he falls over dead than he did in combat.
Ogres rally at board edge. Butcher casts the bubble Trollguts. Gorger and both remaining units of Sabretusks charge the Plaguebearers. Though they cannot get enough wounds past the Mark of Nurgle to win.
Nurgle turn 5
Top Plaguebearers reposition on the Ogres. Big Poppa hits Ironguts with Curse of the Leper. Bottom Plaguebearers win combat, both units of Sabretusts break. One unit panics the Ironguts and they flee.
We called the game there. My buddy felt the Ogres had nothing left to give. For my first time playing Daemons I thought it went well. I actually thought the Reign of Chaos table was fun. I definitely need to paint up some more Plaguebearers for the Lore Attribute. I didn’t even know the Reign of Chaos table could spout out new Heralds, so I guess I need to paint a few more of those up too. I will have to be prepared, I think next time the Ogres are bringing more magic.
