With this list, I've tried to put more emphasis on units and such that benefit from being Ynnari.
- Yncarne is obviously an important piece. Hopefully the Shining Spears, Rangers, Warriors and Venoms will provide him with sufficient opportunity for teleportation. I deliberately avoided making him my warlord as it means I'm less crippled if he dies (and gives me the option of sacrificing him to kill a Knight or similar).
- The Autarch Skyrunner will aim to power himself up, using a combination of his Reaper Launcher and melee ability (with the Locket giving him a permanent +1M and +1A every time he finishes a unit). It's Warlord Trait is via Exalted of Ynnead.
- The Swooping Hawk Autarch will be more cautious, favouring its Reaper Launcher and engaging safer targets with its Djin Blade (it might initially stick close to the Reapers to give them rerolls).
(I'll confess that part of the reason I made this list is to test out some Artefact/Warlord Trait combinations.
)
- The Shining Spears can get a nice buff from being Ynnari (not to mention one of the Autarchs). They're likely to be high-priority targets, but killing them can help me get the Yncarne into position.
- Archons will basically just mill around on their own, taking shots with their Blasters (I've given one the Djin Blade in case I want to try for melee, but I'm honestly not sold on that).
- Rangers are really just there to fill out Battalion slots but I thought the option to Deep Strike could be useful (again, more positioning options for the Yncarne).
Any thoughts?
