So this is the list I am considering running as my go to 2K list. It's a simple list, focused on hitting your enemy hard from both medium and short ranges. There is enough utility to deal with most threats in the game, save, "probably" knights (But they don't exist in my local meta, so meh.)

The Terminator Sorcerer can either go with the Obliterators to cast Prescience for a BS2 deepstrike bonanza combined with endless cacophony, or he can ride with one of the terminator squads, perhaps taking a boost strengthen/attack spell. Abaddon, of course rides with his terminator brethren in reserve, hitting the table, and charging hard. Bolter discipline makes deepstriking terminators pretty deadly when used effectively. Marking them slaneesh or khorne opens up the possibilty for double shooting or double fighting, both are great options. 3 squads, one double shoots, that's 80 S4 shots at 24 inches. Not half bad at all. The Havoks are a prime target for warp-sighted plea from the dark apostle who will camp with them most of the time. He can also provide a good thumpin' to anyone who tries to deepstrike and charge a back field objective. The lord is simply there to provide a reroll to the Havoks or some of the CSM squads, and to serve as a cheap, but equally lethal backfield protector. Plasma does the job of plasma, nothing new there, though I have considered replacing plasma with either more reaper chaincannons or autocannons. Autocannons have been really good for me in this army due to the large number of Primaris players in my area. the DMG 2 is clutch for taking them down.

Unfortunately, as you can see, the list is somewhat small. I really wish I could get in a landraider, or a deamon engine/ deamon prince. The current situation of power armor is still a problem, most of these models are simply way to expensive for what they do. Either power armor in general needs a point drop, or everything should go to T5 like they did for the Havoks. But alas, that's for another topic.

I'm willing to hear out any ideals for general improvements beyond the logic I've laid out.

My local meta consists of mostly Primaris Space Marines, Death Guard, Necrons and Orks. We have 1 Guard player, 1 Tau player and 1 Eldar/yanarri player, with a couple of ranos who play either CSM or Sisters of Battle/Mechanicus. No knights or heavy lists with lots of fliers in our area.

I think it's a decent stab at a list that can make termies work. Couple of things I would suggest. I'd drop down the csm to 5 man units you won't get a lot out of bigger units. You could maybe swap some of the weapons on the terminators, plasma and Abbadon work really well now his aura has changed.

You're going to have to start Abbadon, termies or oblits on the board as you need half your points down. I think it'd work best as having a big beta strike with as close to 1000 points coming down turn 2.

Maybe you could swap one units of termies out for a couple of helbrutes with 2 fists and combi bolters or chosen with combi bolters.

Also a rhino for the reaper chaincannon havocks would be useful.

I've been testing out brutes but they never make it. T6 @ 8 wounds no save vs AT. They just die before they ever make it across the board, every time. There is just too much man portable high AP weapons available in this game to make vehicles and walkers without invulns viable.
