The first column of my future Silver Tide is slowly emerging. Didn't plan to make any updates of it here, necron warriors aren't that interesting, but it looked kinda cool. (And as a bonus there's a now a social contract to complete the buggers in a timely fashion.)

I'm not fully decided on how to complete them. I'm thinking blue glow from eyes, bright blue light radiating from the middle gun compartment, and a blue detail on the base. Then the same only with a red color for the red unit.

Furthermore, since they're stuck to the board, the metallic spray that hit the wood provided a reflecting base for the red and blues coming from the airbrush which gave a nice shine from the base/plank. I think I'll try to include elements of that on the base when they're completed. (Ie blue and red reflections).

I have a couple of more 20 man units to paint up, and I thought I'd follow the same MO, stick to a plank, prime, base, simple OSL, then details. and base, and have each 20 man blob in a distinct color (magenta, green, yellow? ... )

I painted up some crystals to go on each base. I hope the crystal, gauss rod and eyes will form a natural triangle when looking at the model.
