1. Painting on ice!
Base that gave me the idea for this paint scheme: https://i.redd.it/ptuw237v8t621.jpg

So I found this base incredibly inspiring because it's gorgeous. However instead of base making I'm thinking about armor. So what I'm currently thinking is priming black, possibly a gloss black, then a clear coat of some kind, then painting on cracks with a light blue, highlighting white and finishing off the whole mini with my usual dull coat. I feel like that would get me something similar to that effect, without working out casting chunks of mini in resin and putting them in place of the extant armor. Any ideas on this Dakka? Suggestions on the type of clear coat for over the black would also be appreciated.

2. Rangers

Any ideas or suggestions for converting up some female Eldar rangers? I've been on a girl power kick for my kill teams recently.

What Like a tank or dude standing with a thick layer of ice frozen on them?



I figure it may still end up being ether a resin thing or maybe build up layers of water effects to get the thickness then painting up the haze and cracks by hand.


2. you can get cloaked female Elfs in the wood elf kit IIRC.

may take a ton of work though.

Also the character elf ranger in blackstone is female.

I'm just looking to get an icy look/effect on infantry armor without resorting to blue and lots of shading. I really dig the resin effect in the op for a black ice effect and am trying to engineer a paint job out of it.

Already picked her up, need squaddies for her now.
