I’ve started painting my nids, and I’m currently doing the skin tone. I really liked the nurgle flesh look https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=nurlge+plague+skin&&view=detail&mid=869F9DB97F1B1046468E869F9DB97F1B1046468E&FORM=VRDGAR

GW nurgle flesh.

My issues is that I’d like to run a blue carapace type armor instead of following the paint wheel. Do any of you pros have any tips for a solid blue against nurgle flesh????

Looking for some top shelf tips

I’m really trying to stay in the blue section with out fading into reds or purples.

IMO Blue and nurgle green will clash very badly... so id say pick different colours. Could be wrong though.

Do you have a test piece ?

Color is described on 4 scales.

Hue, the rainbow scale/color wheel.

Tint Adding White,

Tone, Adding Grey

Shade, Adding Black.

If you picture a 10 step scale white at 1 and black at 10 you need to make AT MINIMUM a 2 step jump for colors to stand out as distinctly different colors and the farther along the scale you get the more contrast you build. The more scales you do this on the better.

So Nurgle flesh is pale green. Lots of white in it's particular hue.

So you want to slide over into blue from it's base green. Thats only a 1 step jump. Better stay as far away from tints as possible. Go more shades.

VERY dark navy blues is the only way you are going to pull it off. Maybe some bright vibrant yellows for the eyes/accents and maybe some yellow markings on the shells.

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.

You could tint the green using an orange glaze, which could give you the contrast you want.
