I am surprised we do not have a topic on this yet.
last night on the 40k community facebook page they posted that the details of the psychic awakening would be revealed today.
Now the most likely culprit is going to be AOS style endless spells are making thier way to 40k... but this leads to questions
why were these not included in the main space marine book, or in the white scars/ultrasmurfs codex as they knew they were coming out when building the codex one would assume.
How about factions and races that do not include psychers? will they now get them. tau have that new navigator species as an ally that they are keeping lowkey and not showing them to the imperium (seems throwing them on the battlefield is a poor concealing tactic) sisters of silence are... sisters of silence. custodes have no psychers, Necrons i guess a little fluff and maybe?
Is this all buildup for the awakening of the beast who actually survived from the beast arises and is again upon us? (I hope but probably not)
What do you all think? its wild speculation time for the next few hours... then maybe actual discussion on what the Psychic awakening actually ends up being.

Um there's not much to really talk about. There's an I that kinda looks like the inquisition, but then the eye in the I looks almost eldar. I dunno, it could really be anything. Might even be a revamp of how the psychic phase works(which I doubt, the new marine codex came out they can't invalidate it that fast), or new psykers across the board, or endless spells. My monies on endless spells

Fairly sure that symbol is the astra telepathica symbol.
As to what it means eho knows though hopefully GW remember to include all the factions not just the flavours of the month like vigilous.
That or it's going to be the latest game of bait and switch with here's a big 40k announcement a new specialist game to divert FW onto and disappoint everyoen waiting on 30k relases that arnt faxed in or other thing's being released.

generally GW doesn't pout in rules that openly anticipate something coming around the corner in their books. this tends to occasionally lead to issues yes when a quantum leap comes shortly after a codex comes out. that said if it is endless spells I'm not too worried, I mean it's not like GW won't give space Marines one. I dunno if AOS puts theirs in battle tomes but I don't think thats gonna be the approuch 40k would do with endless spells given that they've been saying this'll impact everyone. I could see the endless spells being released by mega faction. so a IoM endless spells, a chaos endless spells, a ork endless spells an aeldari endless spells etc

Would it be unreasonable to hope for a new Wyrdvane Psykers box? Not so much for the models, I've just finished converting my own, but having modern models for the unit would make it safer from being removed from the armylist by upcoming revisions, as happened to my Kabalite Trueborn and Penal Legionnaires. I'd expect a new Primaris Psyker as well, but one just got included in the Blackstone Fortress expansion so the time doesn't seem right.

I'd like to see the thing launch with a new plastic psyker for every army. there are a LOT of armies whose psyker unit is still finecast. and the ones who have plastic versions of their psykers can proably get away with having new stuff anyway.

Because these things are not developed simultaneously. They have to line up design, production, and printing for releases that come with models and that window often shifts.

I'm sure GW will have something in mind for those races.

GW has clearly used AoS as a test bed before refining things and bringing them into 40K, so I believe we can expect the Psychic Awakening is going to be essentially Endless Spells for 40K.

First link is for the psychic Awakening logo, the second is for the Astra Telepathica.
Um I can't see there being a big release for just Astra Telepathica, like it would have just been less hyped I should say seeing as how only guard can use them. Not saying I wouldn't want to see them, just seems unlikely.
Anyway as for the logo there are differences, if I'm wrong I won't be too broken up about it. Either way we get to see stylish new models.

Endless spells were released in one big box for every army to use and none of the 'pre-endless' codexes got endless spells.
