After firing a Supa Gatler in the shooting phase, you may attempt to fire it again. On a 2+, fire another round of shots from this weapon. On a 1, the weapon is out of ammo-it cannot be fired again next round, but may be fired again after that, as the Orks inside scrounge up some debris (or grots) to fire. After firing a Supa Gatler for a second time, you may attempt to fire it a third time on a 4+. Each Supa Gatler may be fired a max of three times in any given phase.

Lifta Droppa

When making attacks with this weapon, add +1 to the hit rolls, or +2 if the target can FLY. For each hit, roll 2d6-if it exceeds the target's Strength, it suffers a mortal wound. If it's at least double the target's Strength, they instead suffer 1d3.

Traktor Array
Range........72"
Type...........Heavy 5
S.................8
AP...............-2
D.................d6
This weapon automatically hits its target. If the target can FLY, roll 2d6 and take the highest die for damage. If the target has Explodes, Crash and Burn, or any similar rule, can FLY, and is slain by this weapon, do not roll for the explosion. It instead happens automatically.

Abilities

Bigger 'n' Stompier
Dakka! Dakka! Dakka!
'Ere We Go!

Effigy
Friendly units within 6" of this model automatically pass Morale tests.

Rigging Crews
At the start of each of your turns, roll a d6, adding one for each Rigging Crew. On a 2+, repair one wound. On a 7+, repair d3. On a 10+, repair 2d3.

Extra Melee Arms
For each Mega-Choppa a Stompa is equipped with, increase its Attacks by 1.

'Eavy Spotlights
If equipped with these, a Stompa may highlight an enemy unit with them at the end of your movement phase. Select a visible enemy unit. All friendly ORK INFANTRY models gain +1 to hit that target with shooting attacks. However, until the start of your next turn, enemy units gain +1 to hit the Stompa with their shooting attacks.

Kustom Force Field
If one Kustom Force field is installed, the Stompa has a 5+ Invulnerable save and offers all models wholly within 3" a 5+ Invulnerable save as well. Each additional Kustom Force Field installed adds 3" to the range.

Extra Transport Space
For each Extra Transport Space installed, increase the Transport Capacity of the Stompa by 10.

Wormhole Eater
At the end of your movement phase, you may attempt to swallow a nearby unit with the wormhole generator inside the Stompa. Select a unit within 8", and roll 1d6 for every model in that unit within 8". For each die that exceeds the current wounds of a model in that unit, the most wounded model is immediately slain.
Spoiler:
Note: If you happen to have a wounded model (say, a squad of four Terminators, one of which has 1 wounds left) roll the dice one at a time until the first model is slain. Then, roll the rest all together, since they should all have the same wound count now.

Transport
This model can transport up to 20 ORK Models. Each MEGA ARMOUR or JUMP PACK model takes the space of two models.

I like it - we need to send it to GW because this is far superior to the current Stompa build.

Got any recommendations for points costs?

And thank you!

The genius behind it (which should be pitched to GW) is that by allowing 4 arms, the player will have to buy 2 stompas!

IMHO, the stompa should have rules for open/narrative play as well as for apocalypse but not for matched play. Therefore, points should not be a big concern.

It is way out of scale in normal 40k games.

Depending on points cost (which I have no suggestions for), this seems flavorful and reasonably balanced. The only thing that has me a little concerned is the 'Eavy Spotlights option. I know you're giving up a decent gun for it, but increasing the hits on all your BS 5+ units by 50% (and BS4+ units by 33%) is a pretty massive board-wide buff. I worry that a buff that major would have to be priced such that it's either too expensive to ever be worth taking or so cheap that it makes a shooting-oriented army too good.

The old Guilliman aura isn't so bad if you're just buffing a couple tactical marines and terminators while walking up the table, but it was a huge pain when you built a gun castle around it. Similar issue here, I think. Maybe the 'Eavy spotlights could be way cheaper than the Gaze of Mork and just cause the targeted unit to lose the benefit of being in cover and maybe suffer a -1 to hit rolls due to the intense lights in their eyes?

ATTENTION
. Psychic tests are unfluffy. Your longing for AV is understandable but misguided. Your chapter doesn't need a separate codex. Doctrines should go away. Being a "troop" means nothing. This has been a cranky service announcement. You may now resume your regularly scheduled arguing.

Giving it a limited range would probably help. 18" or 24" maybe? Anyone have a Stompa that wants to try these rules out? Could just use the current cost with these rules and adjust as needed then depending on the results.

I do like the "Ignores Cover" bit-probably more balanced than +1 BS for Infantry units. But also feels underwhelming for a big boy like the Stompa. Not sure how I feel about -1 to-hit, though.

What about the spotlights allowing ork infantry units within 6" of the targeted unit being able to reroll 1s to hit with shooting attacks?

Seriously? This is garbage for 2 reasons:

1. 6", really?!
2. Bad moons already reroll 1s to hit for shooting attacks.

No problem without playing it extensively I'd have no idea for points I'm afraid bud. Perhaps 650, 700, all in?

1. I figured that 6" would be a safe number, letting you open up as you charge in. 9" would just be deep strike in and insta-melt your opponents unit, further than that seemed excessive.
2. I forgot about that, my bad. I should probably read my codex more often.

Back to spotlight ideas; How about making it that it removes all modifiers to hit that unit, and removes the benefits of cover?

Or have it as +1 to hit but for 2-3 selected units within 9" of the Stompa or something?
