In ye olde days a Guardian(defender) squad was 5-20 guardians, but noticed nowadays that this has changed to 10-20.

Say theres a situation where one has 12 guardian models; would that be a legal squad(sigh, "unit") or would the two odd guardians have to stay at home?

You can have twelve. Why couldn't you?

In Matched Play you pay per model. With Power Points you're buying blocks of dudes.

Well, even with Power Levels you can have twelve Guardians, it just costs the same than having 20, so not terribly optimal...

Just to clarify, I'm venturing back into 40K after a very long time(about 20 years ago). My only experience of the new 40K is with First Strike, which doesn't seem to cover the updated points system.

Anyway, cheers for that!
