So looks like no primaris vulkan with the salamanders supplement that's a shame unless someone has heard otherwise.

No new Vulkan He'stan, but a new Primaris character - Adrax Agatone (Captain of the 3rd Company).

Vulkan is a Primarch, who is also dead.

Hestan is the dude on the scavenger hunt. He has a title of Vulkan.

Isn't Vulkan that primarch whose whole schtick is that he can not die?

yes but he's gone nonetheless. That's why He'stan is on his scavenge hunt. If he finds all 9 relics that Vulkan (the Primarch) created then Vulkan will return.

My guess is that this scavenge hunt is too important to risk He'stan not surviving the transition to become a Primaris, thus no Primaris Vulkan (He'stan)

Could also be something about being an Eternal causes him to reject the transformation to Primaris, but I somehow doubt GW would pass up a chance to update the figure to the new standard for lore-based reasons.

Lore question:
If Vulkan hismself were Primarized, then hit with an Orbital Bombardment (or otherwise disintegrated/obliterated), when he comes to. Is he still Primarized?

Anyone notice that the Primarch Vulkan was in the promo video for the Salamanders supplement?

Maybe he'll return to setting in the future.

Or he doesn't feel like it's his place to risk himself, given that he's the guy finding them relics.

That was one of the more interesting bits of Shrike fluff--he did it in spite of the Shadow Captains protesting it.

He'stan doesnt make sense attempting the Rubicon. He is the spiritual leader of the 18th and his only task is to find the rest of the Artefacts. I'm looking forward to the supplement fluff and seeing how they operate in m42.

Different Vulkan. The Primarch Vulkan, who is an Perpetual, isn't the same as Vulkan He'stan, who isn't.

Well, we don't even know if Primarchs *can* be Primaris'd. Because it's only the *Primarch* Vulkan who is Perpetual.

However, assuming that Primarchs could be Primaris'd, I'd assume that yes, he would come back with his biological enhancements, because Primarchs are already stuffed full of biological upgrades.

He probably just didn't feel like it. Said to himself " Become a primaris ? Then I can't fit into my old marine vehicles for reasons...nah It'll be fine to stay like this. " True story.
