Pretty straightforward- just kicking around some ideas for things to do with various GW kits, games, mechanics, etc. Figured I'd share.
I'm mostly a Necromunda player, but we do have a Deathwatch game we sometimes play using a modified Necromunda system. If anyone is curious about how we 'expanded the power threshold', we use a D10 and just experimented with the stats and adjusted them.
Uses for Blackstone Fortress:
1- Play the game with Necromunda combat system, rather than the default system. You'll need to beef your wounds up, and run an Explorer team of Champions with double wounds and extra skills (400 creds is a good way to go). Every Archeotech card is a D6 X 10 credit reward at a trading post, or a +1 to your roll to shop for rare items.
2- Similar concept as the above, but more of a one-off game. Just set up a Zone Mortalis table and draw an encounter card for every tile, or a 3d table and draw a card for every 12"X12" section. For extra fun, use the Sentries rules.
Uses for Warcry:
1- Use the terrain and deployment cards and rules for Necromunda or Kill-Team.
2- Use the combat system for Warcry, but for Kill-Team. Adjust wounds as needed. We call this "the five minute massacre" and it's actually hilarious.
Also-
-Collect any boards from GW games, they're pretty fun to change things up. My favorites are Execution Force and Space Hulk.
Anyone else do anything silly with their games like this?
Will add to this as I have more time to share ideas.

There are rules in a White Dwarf for using Blackstone Fortress maps/boards for Kill Team.

Certainly nothing wrong with taking a leaf out of another book...
We've had a lot of problems with Adeptus Titanicus( its expensive and managing multiple titans can be a chore ) so looked at why we preferred Kill Team and came up with a new mode, so to speak. Basically, you have a warband of Knights who can be lead by either a knight scion or a lone titan. Sadly, it leaves out Warlords - limit is 400 points - in a similar manner to Kill Team not including vehicles and knights. The end result was a far more economical, but ultimately enjoyable game.
Lost patrol was basically unplayable, so changed the rules, swapped the Genestealers for Hormagaunts and added solo play. Dramatically better game! But then I set eyes on the awesome Ambull model for Blackstone Fortress, and had a field day with the extra bits and bobs.
Back in the day it was modding 40K characters into games of Space Crusade. Jain Zar was me favourite!

I've always said that the core of 40k's system is pretty versatile. It's never 'deep', but you can make it work for 1 guy fighting 1 guy, or a million guys fighting a million other guys- provided you can represent it.
