Coolest thing about daemons of the ruinstorm are the portals. Really cool mechanic and if you've got the old storm of magic templates they work perfectly. There was going to be a battle report along side the pics but the audio is all messed up so long story short the blood god was sated. The only thing I didn't like is we usually just play crusade (3-5 objectives) with the usual secondaries but daemons can choose a different victory/scoring method. In the case of this army it basically couldn't score objectives but instead gained vp's by killing units or losing units in close combat. In the end the score was something like 16 to 2. Even if the alpha legion player had held all 4 objectives and got all 3 secondaries it would have only been 15vp. So I think that's my only issue with daemons the different victory conditions are optional I believe so it might be something worth ensuring both sides understand pre game. I don't really like it because it feels like both side are playing a different game, the lists do that enough IMO. But anyway, cool models all around.

So it this supposed to be 30k? Because I can't see difference between this army and 40k chaos army tbh.

Funny that seeing as they share a lot of models when one of the armies in play is demons. They're very different mechanically where it counts. For example I guarantee you that Ruinstorm demons have more choice than 40k ones do.

There's a lot more room for interpretation with 30k daemons, there's like a pre-amble at the start explaining the wysiwyg sorta idea. Long story short I think it just tells you to try and use the same model to represent a unit to avoid confusion, but there's a wider range of options I believe.

Yeah 3000pts of fully painted alpha legion... seeing a lot of that in 40k I guess
