I'm actually interested if it really is this good. It definitely would fulfill my need for a 'Future War' scenario in terminator the cameos in the first 2 movies showed.

Interesting. It’s one I wrote off as going to be a bit crap, but was going to pick it up at half price because I love Terminator. Maybe i’ll look into getting it earlier now.

Huh.
I find it amusing they're ignoring the current film.

Looks more interesting than a lot of other new stuff.

Sadly, its also the first game I've seen where even the minimum requirements surpass my current graphics card. That bodes poorly- I don't want to make the upgrade to the new generation until the RTXs/VIIs come down to about $250 and work all the kinks out.

Yeah i only have a gtx 960 if i recall. That said it scratches that "future war" itch from terminator ive had for a long while.

Haven't seen the current film, but from what I understand...

Spoiler:
the current film pretty much wipes out all of the future continuity (even taking into account the revisions with every new film and the tv series) that existed before this film in a HUGE way.

So incorporating the new film into this game wouldn't really be practical.

A fairly passable shooter so far, though I'm early into it(level 4) and its just been Spiders, Drones and the tracked armored things. In the story I think I just ran into a T-800 but was saved by an as yet unidentified dark stranger.

I may be in the starting area, so the game may be taking it easy on me, but I have it on Extreme difficulty and its been somewhat simple. Not seeing much from the enemy AI, which is worrisome.

I was actually watching a "Let's play" on youtube and I was starting to have the same feelings myself. Perhaps steam is erasing negative reviews? It kind of looks basic and I haven't seen much beyond where you left off at.

I'm going to put this in the "Wait for a sale" recommendation.

Its not terrible, but its not great either. Had this been a AAA company, I'd have gotten a refund by now, but this looks like its from a smaller studio so I tend to give them some leeway.

I've heard all the terminators are pushovers. Is that true?

I'm interested but wary.

I haven't experienced any yet. The latest robot I encountered early game is some buried thing called a Silver Fish that rolls to you at a fairly slow rate and explodes when it hits you. Dies to 1 or 2 shots though.

Been kind of boring so far, and may I not push further into it when my Total War campaign is so engrossing and I almost always have fun when I boot up Insurgency: Sandstorm.

Maybe the game will get bonkers once I get better weapons or come across a bipedal Terminator(outside of the opening scripted encounter), but its kind of been an non challenging slog even early on.

Just met my first Terminators, had to use stealth as the game doesn’t give you the weapons to fight them at the time. The music during this sequence really made it tense, though the stealth in this game blows massive ass.

Shortly after, I was given a weapon that can damage Termies. Two blew through a door and I traded fire with the one who was in the lead(they were side by side, but the gak AI decided they needed to walk in a single file). Literally shot for shot tanked a T-800 and survived on the highest difficulty. feth this game.
