I think that you're better having Alpha Legion over Emperors children. I kniw that excruciating frequencies is pretty solid but people will nuke them off the table pretty quickly without any protection.

If you take alpha legion and benediction of darkness on your DA then you're getting much tougher to take down. Plus you can protect them with conceal. Move them up 9" with forward operatives.

Then there's the oblitorators. Conceal and -1 hit works well. Also stopping deepstrike and blowing up vehicles is also more useful.

I think emporers children is more geared up to lots of possessed or warptalons etc.

The list is built around Exc Frequencies but has enough punch to not put all eggs into that basket. At some point in the future I'd also like to try DG detachment of poxbringer and 3 PBC'S

I like the jump pack playstyle but no 2nd/3rd jump pack hq's or talons or possessed anytime soon.

The Horrors will screen for the NM's thru turn 1 at least, my friend has a unit of 3 hive guard and if it's hitting the NM's then my warlord and HQ's live longer.

Yeah makes sense. I know repainting is a real pain, I'm just in the middle of repainting my Alpha Legion Warptalons midnight blue and red!

I would consider in time changing the tzeentch daemons for all slanesh daemons. Their aura works really well with the lord discordants and contorted epitome works really well at locking things in combat with your LDs and daemon prince.

In terms of dark apostle I'd look at benadiction over warpsight plea. You'll get more shooting out of 3 extra noise marines rerolling 1s than +1 to hit.
