Hey, here's my evolution of the Possessed list I have been playing since F&F dropped. The experimental part of the list is me dropping the Word Bearers SCD in favour of the nurgle tree. I think it'll synergize quite nicely and with the aid of the "Master of Diversion" warlord trait, should aid both survivability(especially when going 2nd) and mobility of the list. Chaos Space Marines Alpha Legion Battalion Detachment:
Looks great, I think the teee is a decent addition to the list and doesn't need any psychic powers for the buffs to go off. I've changed my possessed list a little after seeing Mani Cheema on d6 evolution.
I'm still taking oblits and defilers and taking a pure nurgle detachment so I can use the aura on the possessed.
Bring PBC is good but breaks aura and they're not much more survivable than defilers. Plus defilers are much more killy in close combat.
How have you found the epitome in this list?

Having the pure nurgle detachment for the Loci is nice, but I personally found it to be overkill. The epitome is amazing by itself and synergizes very well with the Icon of Despair. Most of the time negative leadership modifiers aren't needed, but it's a nice bonus and just makes it even more likely that whatever the star touches, stays locked. In my original list I run it in the Word Bearers SCD, starting on the board with the Forbidden Gem, which I'm certainly going to be missing. The CE also allows my disco lord to fight whatever really tough target might survive the initial round of combat in the next psychic phase(if I want it to die). Just gives you a lot of control to dictate when and for how long you want to stay in combat. In short, I wouldn't want to go without it!

Hmm I'll have a play around with both options, if I drop down to all cultists then I can swap CE in for nurgle DP. I do like having something that can keep up with the possessed to reroll 1s and give nugle aura incase other buffs don't go off.
Although I used CE with a plaguebearer and 1kSons list which was very useful. So maybe it's worth the swap.
