Currently writing some fiction, and I'm curious what names the various non-Imperial factions (e.g. Eldar, Tau, etc.) have for the Emperor, apart from "your emperor". Including both formal names and derisive or dismissive names.

Cadians, Sisters of Battle, Drukhari

"The corpse god"
"The false god"

Two that the followers of "the ruinous powers" use.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

I think the Tau and Eldar also call the Emperor the Corpse God.....

The eldar maybe the Tau.... seems doubtful. anything the Tau know of the emperor is going to come from what converts have told them. so they likely don't know the emperor is literally a corpse on a throne.

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

I dunno, I imagine Orks like to know who the enemy boss is. You can't boast about duffin' up his lads without knowing his name!

Humies aren't shy with his name either, routinely shouting "For the Emperor!" before they get a choppa buried in their brain.

The vast majority of non-Imperial-or-Chaos factions quite likely wouldn't even know about the Emperor. What people seem to overlook a lot of the time about the 40K setting is that the majority of individuals in it, of whatever stripe, do not share our wide-ranging overview of the ins and outs of the universe they inhabit.

Most of the major races will know the Emperor if they use Warp travel because, well, he's powering the lighthouse that helps you navigate it.

Tau likely don't really know much if anything about him. They don't even really believe how big the Imperium is.

Orks know that the humies have got some big toff Emperor who must be the biggest and the baddest any any good Wargh would want to go and beat him up to show them who is the bigger ork! In fact of all the races they are perhaps the only one that would actually like him to come alive again just for a really good fight!

Eldar clearly know of the Emperor and his condition, though considering they call most humans mon-keigh (spelling) its likely they don't have the best of names for the Emperor.

Chaos its all about "Corpse God" and such - insulting names and such

Also this reminds me didn't we have a community page that dealt with this a few months back from GW?

As for the tau i think it varys immensely. But the tau leadership view him as just some human leader with a god complex. But it is worth pointing out that a number of humans in tau space actually still follow a version of the imperial cult that has been slightly modified to be less xenophobic and more in line with the greater good so alot of tau citizens would refer to the god emperoror as just that. The god emperor

Tau are going to have a really bad day when they find out how little the Imperium exaggerates its size and the Emperor...

Orks have a surprisingly positive opinion of the Emperor, actually. They know he is the supreme head Warboss of the entire 'umie race which by itself means he must be one hell of a tough guy (not as tough as a proper Ork Warboss but nobody's perfect.)

Furthermore, they thank him for delivering an endless stream of Guardsmen and Space Marines to fight and smash heads with, for what more could any Ork ask of him?

This. Orks have a concept of "skumgrod" - basically 'the best of enemies', and he's kind of god of that.

Th Silent King of the Necrons refers to him as a "preserved Witch-Corpse".

It is curious what the humans choose to know of their past, and what remains unremembered. They do not heed the lessons that they have already learned, because they often elect to forget them. Perhaps, had he not fallen to illogical and prideful infighting, their Sanguinius-Angel might have steered them towards a more enlightened destiny. Certainly, he would have made a more amenable emperor than a preserved witch-corpse. If ever there were a human to be mourned, noble Szarekh would say that it was him. That alliance –the first alliance, perhaps? –might have ended the threat of the Devourer before it ever surfaced. At least, the Tyranids might never have been drawn to this galaxy in the first instance...

Daemons have universally called him the Anathema ever since the HH saga began.

I have also heard him called "the Carrion Lord" by the Eldar.
