So I am toying with ways to field my army in a Brigade.
I really like Salamanders for their story and Chapter Tactics. The reroll hit and wound per squad makes a single special or heavy weapon in each squad very valuable. As such my entire army is SMU with 1 weapon each. The ignore -1 AP is just extra gravy.
The general plan is that:
The Bikers roll together and push up the front or flank.
Bray'arth, Tech Marine and Venerable Dreads will follow on or push the other side. They will be dead 'ard and killy. I am toying with having Bray walk in front and act as a tank.
The Tac Marines, Sniper and Apothecary will set up in a middleish building and blast everything in sight.
The Scouts will advance deploy to grab mid field objectives. I only have Heavy Bolters for them.
Thunderfire Cannons and the Whirlwind will sit on back field objectives and if there is only one they will set up in the house with everything else.
Bray'ath is in the list because I just traded for him. I have no idea if he is any good, but he looks tough as nails. Also his price just went down by 75 points. That said he is still a giant point sink.
I would also like to include my 3 Attack Bikes in the Bike Squads with Multi-Meltas, but don't know what to cut to get them in.
