At $5 for ten, you can buy 90 brushes from Walmazon for the same price as a pledge to this campaign that gets you 20 brushes.
I don't know if it is just slick marketing, if the apparently large numbers of previous campaign backers are just ignorant/naive about brushes, or if the large number of return backers is a true signal that these are actually good brushes for the price.
Either way, the campaign's success is surprising.
I do think there is something to be said for it being easier to see where your paint is in a white brush ( is it clean? Is paint close to ferrule? etc.), and the brush assortment is certainly better for mini painters.
I've found the $5 brush sets to truly terrible, so these might be better compared to the $8-$10 brush sets.
