Ok I think I'm crazy but I thought I'd post this up anyway. Tempted to collect eldar but I wanted to do something a little different. It may be mad but I'm so tempted to try it.

Basically it's a death blob that centres around the cobra. The autarch and farseer give it added buffs and the spectres provide an assault screen. This blob will move around each turn to activate the distort field save and to keep my opponent guessing.

Meanwhile the fliers harrass my opponents back lines and the rangers attempt to pick off key characters. Could it work? Any suggestions?

I find Mind War better for a farseer than Fortune, though since you're looking to baby-sit the Cobra ....

Like most eldar lists, it has lots of goodies. Just learn to wield them well. You know, git gud. <----- stated knowing the irony that *I* am not gud.

It's not a totally crazy idea but I've run the cobra a fair few times and the problem is it's reliability (or lack of).

I've had it overkill other superheavies and knights easily, and then other times do next to nothing if you get a few bad rolls. It's great for fun games but not for competitive, so I guess it just depends on your meta.

Your list looks pretty solid, but I'd consider dropping irillyth, he doesn't give the spectres any buffs and is quite expensive for what he does.

With the extra points I'd definitely try and get Jinx into the list, either with a warlock skyrunner or hemlock (or both), as invuln saves are gonna be pretty much the only defence against the cobra.

I'd also consider guide over doom, at strength 16 you shouldn't have much trouble wounding things, but if the cobra takes a few wounds BS will drop, so rerolls to hit might be more useful.

Thanks for the tips guys, I'll definitely look into those changes. I know the cobra is a bit unpredictable but I have a love of big dumb tanks regardless of how good they are. XD
