I will find that out in the morning. Do other things right now, then bed. Your battle reports I tend to leave for later because i enjoy them so much I like to specially choose the timing of when I watch them.

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

Finally got around to watch it. Live pause and type commentary.

Great intro. Like the effort put into new retro grpahics. Loving the 90's Shadow of the Horned Rat style soundtrack, and.....
You use Village of Fear/Dorf des Grauens buildings. I have some of those. A great find often overlooked.

Nice armies. Great that you are spicing things up a bit with different units and keeping a fairly high model count. Moar please!!

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Turn 1.
Confused by the 'extra' chaos magic phase at the beginning. The turn order is not clear so far.
Unlucky with cannon...
Nice that after every movement phase you show the position of the whole battlefield.
Pacing of the video is good, looks like you spent time on editing.
Gorgers appearing right behind tasty tasty cannon crew....
Two nasty explosions....

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Turn 2.
Bad dice rolls for Empire shooting, but exciting nonetheless.

Turn 3.
Bull charge time, poor halberdiers....
Trying to root for Empire, but things are looking grim....
Not seeing the wisdom of using massive numbers of dice on a moderate power spell, you had better results on turn one. However both wizards are unlucky this battle.
I would have run from a gorger and a chaos chariot too, for what good it would do me.....

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Turn 5.
Empire trying a comeback, come on guys. Stop them!!....

Turn 6.
It was over on turn 3 but you fought on to the bitter end.

Aftermath.
Nice to see your soldiers level up. It might have better better to apply this to the wizards, start them out as level 1 and grow a magic level every battle. But i like the effort so far.

Very enjoyable and worth the wait. Want to see more please.

Please include Marauders, when chaos warriors reach the Empire lines you know what will happen. With some Marauders as well as Chaos Warriors it makes a better spectator game and it will increase the model count which is always good in a battle report like this.

Many thanks for your helpful comments! Its really help for our campaign in the future! In this campaign, I decided to play for the Chaos Warriors. As you probably remember, I have 3 armies: The Empire, Warriors of Chaos and the Ogre Kingdoms.
Concerning the Magical Phase of Chaos: According to the scenario, written on page 398, the core rule book, attackers start first, but they only appears on the battlefield, without the possibility of marching, walking and shooting. No problems with Magic Phase! It was really lucky game for attackers and bad for defenders, but i am think it was really awesome game! I am hope that next battles will be interesting and sharp also! Thank you very much!

Yes it took me a little while to work out that the chaos spell was a stand in for the whole chaos first turn rather than a 'you can cast one spell before battle starts' scenario special rule.

Tip. Six dice casting for expected miscast is great for Purple Sun or Dwellers, but not worth it for flame cage. If you get high dice three or four dice cast the main spells, expect to lose one to dispel and then continue on. I think Empire would have profited from 2x level 2 as if you lose focus you have no other wizard to cast from. Fire doesn't need to be level 4, the advantage of Bright wizards is that you are guaranteed some good attack spells, so you can fix a role for him with only level 1 or 2. With some wizards you don't know what role they will have unless they are level 4. Life is wastedwith less than three spells, Bright is not.

Is the T3 BSB permanent? I would retire and replace him frankly if he is.

Thanks you so much for the tipes! The Toughness of the Empire BSB may increase for future victories, but you can't replace him in the next battles until (If he is destined) he dies!

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

I tried a read through, but the wording tripped my tongue. Lord Zhulgozar, Lord Zhulgozar, Lord Zhulgozar. I ended up abbreviating, which is not the point of a narrative.
Did you get your voice over?

Request, and a tip.

Can we have more chaos rabble please. So far you use high powered units only that either get nuked or stomp all over Empire. Some marauders or chaos hounds will only take a small portion of the list, but provide an extra unit that isn't an autowin in combat thet you need to use against the correct target, or use to flank etc. This will widen the game. Empire vs Chaos breaks down into a frontal unstoppable charge which is either shot to death, stopped by equal cheese or avoided. Some Marauders would really open the game up. Otherwise the empire will end up needing Steam Tank or Demigryph spam in order to face off.

How to use magic dice. If you get a lucky high powered magic phase don't blow dice on a main spell. It is worth doing if you have a game changing spell and circumstances warrant it, but even then you should either use all tyour dice in a moderate power phase, or cast as a second spell.
If I got 10+ magic dice I would be looking at three to four spells cast. This assumes a three or two dice cast dependant on spell, with a final one or two dice cast at the end. The last spell is not expected to succeed but it might. So for 10 power dice you could go 3,3,3,1 which with the +4 for a level 4 casts all four spells. The opponent will have five or six dispel dice and can stop one or two of them, and not necessarily the ones they want as you choose the casting order. If you have a spell you must cast and have ten power dice, cast 3,3,4 or 3,2,5. Chances are the enemy dispel dice are drawn out in part of total and the advantage is still yours. Again assuming six dispel dice, does the opponent drop three on a dispel early, if so you can five dice cast your big spell after, not overcast it and still be very difficult to dispel. Or you can carry on parsing out the dice more evenly and get something through, or cast enough dangerous magic the opponent stops two spells and gives you free run at your main. You still retain the option to six dice cast and miscast it into being later. Massive casts are rarely a good idea. The one exception is if the need a cast or you will lose, and the spell is nasty enough to make a real difference. Dwellers comes to mind, also Foot of Gork, Curse of Years etc. You have to ask yourself is this spell worth having my wizard eaten by Khorne, even if that result is unlikely. If its that impoertant comes out the gate with a massive dice pool, and just note that you will lose power dice afterwards and your magic phase will be over.
If you have modest dice you can still try for two spells. If your dice total are low or if one of the dice is a one, you have no real advantage, and should not expect top get anything through. Still try and cast two spells leave one power dice for the second, chances are the opponent will go all in stopping the first. and if your last dice is used on a basic spell like Fireball, you will normally get it done, and if you lose focus nothing is lost in the attempt.
There is a lot of subtlety to magic dice management, with strategies changing dependant on the roll. The active player has all the advantages, excepting the dispel scroll, the reacting player cannot really develop a turn strategy as it will not be up to them how you seperate your dice, they will know only one cast in advance how much magic you are trying. They will see dice pool remaining, that is all.
Proper dice management would have given the Empire potential for two very good magic phases, instead we got two miscasts, on overrated spells, causing real damage to the empire army, and about twenty wasted power dice, for the gain of a couple of chaos warriors dead.

We already played the second game of the our campaign and it was truly amazing !! I included in my roster units of marauders horsemen and the Chaos Spawn! My opponent added demigriffs! I will be VERY interested in the your opinion about our game! With God's help, I’ll finish editing the video on this week and put it on YouTube!
P.S. Thanks for your wise tips, my friend!

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

I look forward to seeing the battle report. I will wait patiently for your video editing.

Marauder horsemen will make the game more maneuver heavy and thus give us more to see. Chaos spawn are a nice addition but 2d6 movement is too slow. We will how you do with them.

From a viewers perspective, and hopefully others will support or contradict this point of view:
It is better to see 500pts of an army spent on three modest units than one killy deathstar in each army. In the former you get lots of smaller combat and maneuver play, in the other you get one big clash, lots of dice and its all the same. When spectating Empire spearmen fighting clanrats is as exciting as Phoenix Guard fighting Chosen. Its about the number of units the opportunities to flank etc, and yes you do want something scary, but ordinary chaos warriors in modest numbers (approx 20) provide enough tension.

Remember you are making armies for a show, not only to defeat the opponent. Not enough YouTube content creators recognise that. If you video a tournament yeah, max out your army and go for the win. For a narrative campaign add as much interesting stuff as you can.
