Hello good people - I'm thinking about getting into dropzone commander, and I noticed that the starter sets for PHR and Resistance seemed to have a much lower model count than the other factions. Are these expected to be updated, or is it ok to jump right into these factions?

Additionally, I see there are rules for different phases, are these needed in addition to the core rules/battle for earth?

They should be getting updated, an new small-size rulebook is going up for pre-order tomorrow (and will be free to download shortly after).

"Soon" is all we know. The new UCM v. Scourge Starter box is also pre-release tomorrow, and they just announced the Wave 7 Restocks on their blog - I'd keep an eye on the blog or their FB page for more details.
