So I'm wondering if anyone knows of a program or website that has a service by which you can list down what comics you own in a neat easy to read and access manner?

I'm asking because after getting a few bundles here and there I've wound up with comics that I don't always recall that I've got. Plus with some long running series collected editions might hold many individual comics or stories that are not always readily apparent by the collected edition title. So its very easy to end up accidentally double buying or to pass on a deal for a comic mistakenly thinking that one owns it.

Even though most of my comic buying is done on Comixology, they don't have the feature on their site (which is where I'd most likely end up double buying after getting bundles off other sites). So I'm keen to see if anyone knows of such a feature around the net. Only my other option is a simple notepad document, which whilst taking the same amount of work to put together; might not be as visual or easy to read resource.

I’m not aware of any software myself, but a spreadsheet might be more organized than a notepad doc.

I'd recommend a spreadsheet as well.
Even something as simple as putting the titles along the left edge, and listing runs of issues in cells. Any gaps can be broken out and put in a different color. Say for example..

X-men/ 13-45/ 46-48/ 49-51/ etc

'/' denotes a separate cell.

Interesting idea. You wouldn’t need additional columns for each run. Considering some collections (ex, old Batman comics) are sometimes sold by their entire run, it would help keep things less cluttered.

Ah. I should note its been a long time since I collected comics and never online. So when I say 'run' I'm not using a technical term, just thinking of groups where you have (or don't have) sequential issues.

So if you have issues 5-20, but not 4 or 21, I'm referring to that as a 'run.' Its just easy to set up missing issues in separate cells and changing the color to be visually distinct.

At the moment I'm thinking a spreadsheet with a new page per letter and ordering things based on the first letter of their title/collection. So Witchblade would all be under W for example.

Issues by column is interesting, but breaks down once you start to include random volumes that might also cover specific issue numbers (which is good to know as often volumes don't always make it clear what issues are within them at times - esp when you've a series that jumps from volumes to issues).

Right now I'm thinking of the following column titles:

Series - Publisher - Title - Volumes - Issue - Digital owned - physical owned.

This way I can also list out what issues are within specific volumes and swap between issues and volumes in order of owning to show a complete set (especially useful when series don't order things or if I end up with a mixture)

It creates more rows, but at the same time I think is easier to read than using columns.
