Slave on the Slave Snares

Background:
My first army was the dark eldar, I started way back in 3rd edition (around 2001 i think) when they were in the starter box and i got into them in a big way. I had stopped playing them by the time i was in college (around 2006) and was more into space marines, imperial guard and battlefleet gothic at that point. Around this time I recall selling my dark eldar army for a tenner to a kid who i knew would cherish them, and i thought that was the last of them, until fairly recently.

while sorting out stuff in my parents attic at the beginning of the year i found some of my old dark eldar warriors (around 70 all told) and 3 raiders I brought them back to my new place with me and they have just sortof been sitting there waiting for me to do stuff with them. thats where this blog comes in. I asked in a different section for advice on converting some to scourges and got some really helpful responses.

For now im focussing on getting back into converting and doing a few warriors at a time. Ive put together 5 warriors and after deciding they looked a little bare i added tabards and a slightly raised collar to all of them see below:

I think they looked quite nice like this but i wanted to experiment with adding cloaks, Hoping i could get some feedback on this:

Im a little unsure about them, i made them super thin because something thick would look incongruous on such dainty models but i dont know if they will look good when painted as they arnt that crisp

what do you guys think should i keep them or strip them?

With 70 (!) old warriors to play with, you can afford to experiment. Go for it!

As YWS says experiment. I think the 5 you have done look great, just paint them up to see if your worries bear fruit. If you do not like the results you have plenty more to paint up. The original Dark Eldar plastics hold a lot of nostalgia to me so this will be a fun project to watch.
