For Agatone, does his special rule "Unto the Anvil" only work if you're using a weapon profile, or does it work for all attacks:

"Add 1 to wound rolls for attacks made with melee weapons by models in friendly SALAMANDERS units whilst their unit is within 6" of this model and if that unit made a charge move, was charged or performed a Heroic Intervention this turn."

For example, if I was in combat with regular intercessors, would they get the +1 to wound even though they don't have a weapon. My interpretation is that they would have to have any weapon, like a chainsword or better, but I want to make sure because this is an oddly specific rule.

All models have a melee weapon.

Page 22 in the 40K PDF rules under Select weapon section details that all models make attacks with Melee weapons.

So any model with the "Unto the Anvil" rule would get the bonus to the wound rolls if they made a charge move, was charged or performed a Heroic Intervention that turn.

The generic Close Combat Weapon is a weapon with a profile.
