So I`ve never played a single game of 40k, but been toying around in Battlescribe with an idea of an inquisitorial force for a long time and now I`m seriously thinking about starting to build towards a list something like this. I guess this list isn`t competitive at all, but would i get my ass kicked in every friendly match too, does it have any potential?

Here`s how I imagined it would play:

The Missionary and arco flagellants ride in Repressor. Coteaz and acolytes in Taurox prime with Gatling cannon.
One squad of Scions with Hot-shot volleyguns ride in Taurox with Missile launcher and the other squad with volleyguns goes with Astropath, who tries to protect them with Psychic barrier. Another Astropath hangs out backfield with crusaders.
Both plasma squads drop down with their own Tempestor primes and the Warlord tempestor hangs back with command squad mainly giving orders.

So lambda lions are a quite strong force, and their greatist weakness is holding / resilience on an objective. Inquisitors (other than the splash one armywide), I don't usually play but they ainlt the big thing on your list anyway.

Note LL warlord trait gives all LL mecha AND troops within 6 inches a reroll of 1, and LL relic gives the same a 5++ invuln shield. This is a valuable trait and relic to stick in the big drop/bleeding edge up front, and force people to perhaps have a bit more effort to kill those troops/tanks. Both benefits also roll over to any nearby soldiers, potentially letting you double up orders on the plasma by saying "since they already reroll 1's, I ALSO give an order to them that execution protocol is sanctioned, and they reroll all woudns against monster and vehicles." that's powerful stuff.

Also...<snip>
The Missionary and arco flagellants ride in Repressor. Coteaz and acolytes in Taurox prime with Gatling cannon.
One squad of Scions with Hot-shot volleyguns ride in Taurox with Missile launcher and the other squad with volleyguns goes with Astropath, who tries to protect them with Psychic barrier.(1) Another Astropath hangs out backfield with crusaders.(2)
Both plasma squads drop down with their own Tempestor primes and the Warlord tempestor hangs back with command squad mainly giving orders. </snip>

All scions can start in deepstrike -- obviating the need to worry about protecting or getting them where they need to go. Unless you plan to put the SOB stuff in strategic reserve just off a board edge, waiting to pounce.

I would strongly consider making one astropath malstrom and the other +1 save, to allow youto pick an offense or defense stance for your army. BOTH can't cast the same spell, ever, so if you both only know smite (1/6th chance to succeed) you are wasting 1 cast a turn all game.

Other than that, I don't think its going to lose EVERY game -- you have some SOB and you can outflank the penitants turn 0 to potentially make it rather more hard to keep them away from the foe.

But you may find your star is the crusaders, who are the only unit you have that isn't a smidge glass cannon-ish to my eyes. You will do well inflicting harm, but maybe find your ability to hold in melee agianst opposition isn't what you need to beat things like marines. So its not a bad little list. I like many of the parts. You may find it plays a bit unlike you hoped and fine tune it later, but I think its ok for a start.
