In the background both men and women crew Kharadron Skyships, but the models don't really reflect this. Most of them are heavily enough armoured that they could be either but the helmets in the kits all have stylised beards, implying the wearers are male. The fiction mentions female Arkanauts weraring helmets styled after the goddess Valaya (whereas the male ones are meant to be based on Grugni). I decided to have a go at scultping some female masks with braided hair instead of beards:

I think it's a nice idea, but the bone structure still looks pretty masculine: eye sockets, jaw length and shape, mouth shape are all a bit much. Do you have any shots of the heads in use? They don't feel like they'd read esp. well, but I could be wrong?

Haven't used any on figures yet as I have no unused bodies at the moment to try them on. I've been reworking them somewhat based on my test prints and feedback from other people. I probably jumped the gun on uploading them to Thingiverse really. I just got over excited as these are the first half-decent thing I've modelled. If my test prints tonight look better I will be re-uploading in the next day or so.

I've now had chance to re-work these quite a bit. There are now 20 variants with better detail, and they seem to print much better. Should have some pics in use on actual models soon.
