Hey guys! I'm new to AOS, and I'm trying to figure out which army I wanna play!

I really like the idea of synergy and magic, but I really like flexibility, to be able to play multiple ways.

I know the Lumineth are new, but I assume they'll be getting more units in the future?

I'd really appreciate any help choosing with some pros and cons of each maybe? Cheers!

Luminoth will get more models - when is impossible to say. AoS has a lot of new armies with very small model ranges that need a lot more choices; and it has a few big legacy armies (like Skaven and Lizardmen) which have a big range of modes; but also a lot of older sculpts that are due for replacement (Skaven even has metals)


So each of those armies is ripe for updating. That said when and how is impossible to say. Lumineth might get a huge update in 5 months time; they might get one new model every blue more or might wait 3 years for any update. It's really impossible to say.

So whatever you choose you want to make sure you like them how they are today.



Magic and flexibility would suggest Lizardmen - well Seraphon now - since they have a wide range of models and have some very powerful casters with the Slaan.
