Here is my second loss of the weekend in all of its glory.  Once again we had a screwy FOC.   It was only the second COD game I have played and it ended up being more exciting than I expected.  I think I could have just sat back and gotten the stalemate but I just had to take out the droppod. anyway the link is below:

Hopefully it will work better than the last one

Why did the stormtroopers run when they took wounds from the snipers when they should have been pinned? Did they die to a non-sniper weapon like a heavy bolter?

Snoogums, yes it was the heavy bolter that did them in, sniper rifles failed to effect

Cool report. The pics make it easy to comphrehend. It seems even across the pond, the same thing still happens; folks want to use drop pods, but not build one. I've faced (clean) ashtrays, taco bell cups, soda bottles. Some had paint, some didn't. All took away from the visual aspect of the game.

How did 4x4 go as table size? I haven't played on that size, but probably will soon to start doing COD demos.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

4x4 is tight, especially when you have a fast moving assault oriented army across the board from you. I think it works for COD because if you do not move through terrain it takes longer to move around terrain. We spent the first few turns of that game dancing around the center building. It is hard to imagine armies larger than 1500 points on that sized table but it might actually work. What is the largest COD game anyone hasplayed on a 4x4? How did it work?
