I'm finally about to get back into painting/modeling and I've decided to try and finish my Arbites counts as army. As I'm using all my old OOP metal Arbites I am semi restricted in some options, but as this is for store only play (maybe a store toury but nothing higher) I'm ok as long as it's effective enough to be fun. The actual models i'm using with be in Cyan and can be reference in the spoiler pic. *note all models are/will be on correct Primars sized bases*

Spoiler:

Chapter Tactics
Long Range Markmenship
Rapid Assault

Primaris Captain/Arbites champion w/ shotgun - Power sword, Bellicose Bolt rife
- Iron Resolve Warlord Trait

Primaris Chaplain/Enforcer Champion 2 model w/ power maul and bolt pistol
- Catechism of Fire

x3
Intercessor (5) x4 Bolt gun Arbites, 1 Grenade Launcher Arbite
Aux Grenade Launcher

x2
Impulsor X2 SB Repressor with Spaceways conversion parts Arbites Repressor Top and Arbites Rhino front/doors
Shield dome

Reiver Squad (9) w/ Bolt Carbines Arbites w/ Shotguns

Suppressor Squad (3) Enforcer Heavys

Hellblaster (5) Enforcer with Plasma Gun
Assault Plasma Incinerator X5

Repulsor Heavily modded Ork Battlewagon into a Riot Control Vehicle (will upload pics of WIP if any intersted, got the idea from Here)
Heavy Onslaught Glatling
Icarus Ironhail heavy stubber
Ironhail heavy stubber
Krackstorm grenade X2
Stormbolters X2
Twin Lascannon

Total = 1500

Idea is I'll have the Cap go with the plasma so they can always reroll overcharged 1's. Chaplain will go with Reivers in the Wagon and take objective away from opponent while Intercessors will take others while Supressors do what they do.

Thoughts?

I think there's gonna be a lot of confusion on the tabletop!

I think 2 wound T4 Arbites with 3+ saves is a bit hard to believe so I always steer clear of marines as an Arbites counts-as. Whenever I HAVE seen Arbites-as-Marines it's using Scouts and Scout Bikers, which is fairly accurate. Scouts have the right armour and options for both boltguns and shotguns, the bikers have grenade launchers, etc. Much more understandable for the opponent.

However, I think the absolute best representation for Arbites in the current pool of armies is using DKOK Engineers - correct stat line, weapons and armour, fluffy Doctrine, and Imperial vehicles. Downside is no Rhino/Boltgun options.

There is really no size difference between them and old marines, and my FLGS is mostly younger players who have no idea who/what Arbites were so there is little to no confusion. They mostly think the older models are kinda cool. And trying to use them as scouts or DKoK would require a horde playstyle that I do not want to play, hence using them as Primaris.

Any suggestions on the list?
