Hey, I'm completely new/returned after many years to 40k.

I had a list written up at the beginning of last year and the models are starting to be churned out paintwise now. Given the jump from 8th to 9th I'm having to revise my list.

I've just had a look at the sternguard - it appears you can equip them with multi melta's (not regular melta's) and a storm shield oO? or basically any heavy weapon + shield.
Is this just a broken battlescribe error or actually do-able codex wise? TIA

Always check your codex, Battlescribe is not a substitute.

Right now due to GW's seemingly intentional effort to make the BS team's life as hard as possible, there are going to be a lot of errors. If you see any, report it to the BS 40k people on github.

Cheers peeps, @Bacon - I'd literally bought 8th ed 2 months before 9th came out, I've only just got back into the hobby and that kind of jaded me. Along with a portion of my models now being legend or illegal.

@P5 - I'd just updated it for the first time in months and tada 2 handed heavy weapons + SS.

I'm glad its an oversight in all fairness! Is there any point in buying 9th cdx with nurgle19 in full effect!?

Edition change is fun!

Even with Nurgle19s blessings in effect, I think its worthwhile buying the 9th Edition Space Marines Codex (I am assuming you are playing Space Marines).

All you have to do is fire three rounds a minute, and stand

If you're playing Space Marines, yeah you might as well buy the Codex and whatever Supplement you want (Even if you're running a custom successor chapter you need at least one supplement for the superdoctrine rules).

Are we talking about sternguard veteran squad ? Yes, they can have heavy weapons, like ML and LC, but no SS. I dont see the option for SS in BS.
