I think a small bit of fluff pertaining to what exactly an "Alessi Novitiate" is would be in order, but I take from novitiate that we're talking about a lower-ranked clergyman? Is "Alessi" a reference to one of the original founders?
The Kaddar are the priest caste within the Karist organisation. Kaddar Novae, who were introduced with the original Battle for Zycanthus box, are focused on bringing enlightenment to the masses in a rather violent fashion. The Kaddar Alessi, however, are the more traditional type of priest, who prefer to use oratory rather than physical means to sway their enemies and inspire their followers. The Alessi Novitiate is a mid-ranking priest, more accomplished than the Proselytisers who often accompany small military units, but not yet a fully fledged Kaddar Alessi.
...But as a matter of personal taste, I just want to mention that I've liked pretty much every Karist helmet variant you guys have come up with so far, and would enjoy seeing more in the future.
There are a few more military units in the pipeline, which will definitely give us the opportunity to play with some more helmet variants.
He's wielding some kind of hammer, right? Is that weapon a Karist thing for novitiate priests? Or just a personal choice for this guy? I don't think we've seen that weapon in their arsenal before.
Yes, the cybel scepter is a new piece of gear, and is a badge of office for the various priestly ranks from Proselytiser up, although not usually wielded in battle by Novae as they have their own more specialised gear.
... is it enthralled by its master's sermon, or trying to stifle a yawn?
Even veteran Angel Keepers find it hard to tell just what is going through an Angel's mind, most of the time.
Unless they're hungry.
