1,000 Points on the dot. the idea is simple-Characters all stay in the center of the deathblob of 50 Acolyte Hybrids. Primus gives 'em rerolls, Iconward boosts their charges, Nexos provides CP regen and extends the auras as needed, Biophagus just hands buffs out as they can. The big squad of 15 Acolytes lurks in the shadows, then charges with a 68-80 percent chance of success, depending on whether or not they can benefit from the Iconward's charge buff.

Big on bodies-79 of them in 1,000 points. Big on attacks-the 15 strong squad puts out 46 attacks on their own, and with 6s exploding, they get just shy of 40 hits at S5 AP-2 D1 without outside buffs. Add in a reroll of 1s to-hit from Primus, and that goes to more than 44 on average!

Of course, these are squishy bodies. T4 5+ W1.

Should I grab extra Relics? And if so, what?

Looks descent enough. Although it is a shooting gallery. And I do not know what missions looks like at 1000 points.

Consider Pauper Princes for the 5++ relic if your game experience leads you to experience dying early.

Also, you can not have both A Trap Sprung, Enhanced Aggression on one unit. Max one per unit.

The enhanced aggression is from the Biophagus-that’s their upgrade, not the squad’s.

(Take the following with a hefty grain of salt, since I'm still getting a feel for the new book.)

I am not entirely sure this style of list is going to do particularly well. My experience so far has been that the army is heavily designed around a combined arms approach and leaning too heavily into one aspect or another hurts overall effectiveness. Admittedly you are building this as a skew list so it will probably be able to overwhelm a few armies out there. I just imagine you are going to run into a similar issue as Blood Angels where you are going to have trouble dealing with certain things that can shut down your melee and your tactical options are somewhat limited.

I'd consider maybe doing 2 units of 15 Acolytes and then turning the rest of the troops into Neophytes (with or without heavies/specials, your choice) to get you some fire support and more bodies to lean into your theme. Alternative maybe some Jackals to provide some mobility options for objectives and actions (can also be decent anti-armor with a couple demolition charges).

Just my thoughts, I'd imagine thematically the list would be fun play even if it may not be the most optimal.

I considered Jackals, but they’re a prime target for D2+ weapons.

That is a fair concern. I suppose how much D2 do you expect to see in your local environment? In my local meta for instance there is a fair amount of "reduce damage by 1" abilities in circulation so we are relatively light on D2 (are mostly consigned to a handful of melee weapons, plasma, and incidental heavy bolters).

Personally I'd trade some of the acolytes for genestealers, assuming you have enough terrain. Hide them t1 then rush while deepstriking the acolytes all at once.

Also I dont have the book on me to see if the points make sense but at 1k I'd probably trade the nexos and lab man for a kelermorph. Don't know how your 1k games are but usually people tend to go a little too character reliant and the morph will punish for that.

Thats pretty cool. The lack of hand flamers limits your options on the charge. I also dobt see any mining weapons. But with so many 10 man's you get your weight of dice. Ap 2s
