Subject: John Bear Ross-Mech and Knight Parts...And More?
I've been a freelance digital sculptor for Reaper (CAV), Wizkids (MWDA), Rebel (15mm Sci Fi), Critical Mass (15mm Sci Fi), Khurasan (15mm Sci Fi), Xtreme Hobby (Cold Navy), and a bevy of other wonderful clients and projects.
I've put sculpting aside for a few years as I tried my hand as a writer. Between books, though, I have kept sculpting, mostly to make custom parts for my Imperial Knights.
Now, I have begun offering STL files, some paid, most free, on Cults3d for folks who want to use those same conversion parts. Since I am not doing 1 for 1 copies, more in my own style, I name these conversion parts with Project names.
These parts are usually weapons that twist, glue, or magnetize to factory GW kits.
Here's the link to my main Cults3d Page...
https://cults3d.com/en/users/johnbearross/creations All my Armiger/Moirax parts are free, as are a number of other accessories. Most are supported, and that number continues to grow as I find time to do so.
That's my basic intro. I hope not to be too obnoxious, but I've wanted to make DakkaDakka a regular stop on my notifications circuit. If it's okay, I'd like to keep doing that.
Best,
JBR

Project Raptor, a sculpt of mine that is a light striker/scout mech, was recently chosen for a guest slot on The Makers Cult patreon monthly data transmission.
After the end of the month (May), I'll be able to offer Project Raptor on my Cults3D page. Stay tuned for that announcement.
The Makers Cult, if you don't know, is a trio of digital sculptors with thousands of monthly backers who put out an amazing quantity and quality of product.
I have decided to start a Patreon. I have decided to try and put out the .stl files for one mech a month, drawing on a variety of genres and influences, and putting them together in my own particular style.
Here's the front page...
Here's the Welcome Aboard package. A digital mech hangar diorama that you can also print out.
The Rebellious Orbital Colony Cavalier (ROC-C). Because I couldn't keep calling it the Zaku Lancer.
This was April's reward for my Patreon and Tribes subscribers. Sign up today. I am pushing out one large mech per month, plus offering steep discounts on my back catalog.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Sweet. I can post pics from my Discord server. Now I know.
I used to have to post pics from my blog, which doesn't get updated too frequently.
Best,
JBR
