This assumes that the leaks where true. What are good world Eater shooting options?

Hellbrutes, landraider, both predators, defiler and forge fiend. None of those seem great unless there are some changes in the book.

But looking at allies are 3 knights good? Wardog executioners have 2 of the 2d3 D3 autogun. Chaos demons offer the skul cannon. Are any of them good?

It's gonna depend entirely on how good the mono bonus is, as otherwise you'll just want to stick to the Forgefiend or Predator.

In terms of who loses the least to ally in though?
1. You can take a Spearhead of Khornate Daemons to not lose your bonus, and spend only 25% of your points on Skullcannons. Skulltaker gives a +1 to hit aura but I don't know if Skullcannons are eligible for it.
2. In the same vein of artillery, Death Guard really don't lose much with their -1T aura as your World Eaters are going to be doing the heavy lifting in melee already at S5 for Berserker Marines. Could go the route of either Spearhead for Crawlers or the cheaper route of an Outrider for Haulers. You'd also get the benefit of Poxwalkers as a choice.

Thousand Sons offer more shoots infantry, but that's not heavy lifting and the bonus to the casting + range is too good for them to lose. The Chaos Marine codex itself offers great shooting with Iron Warriors without great shooting options itself if that makes sense.

Skull Cannon is not Core, and the +1 to-hit is a targeted ability, not an aura.

So no on two counts.

Whelp it is what it is, but I still think Skullcannons are worth a look at just for the sheer fact you won't lose your World Eater bonus, whatever it might be.

Oh yeah. Skull Cannons are pretty nice!

Edit: It also gives access to a Bloodthirster with the wound cap. That might be more Daemons than you want in your World Eaters, but it's there.

Just stick your favorite Jump Lord on a bigger base and pretend your Lord is so blessed by Khorne he hits as hard as a Bloodthirster. Problem solved.

I should point out 25% or one unit of chaos knights only loose you the CP. Not your faction bonus.

they aren't mutually exclusive either, so you could have 25% of your force be daemons, and still have a khornate knight or war dogs for some extra utility.

You'll probably have to end up playing the waiting game for FAQ's, but WE should get all the forgeworld options and quite a lot of them are now available in plastic.

Otherwise, Bloodletters are probably a near auto include for allies, so a couple of skull cannons in a patrol wouldn't hurt.

maybe not. they still haven't updated the legends chaos deimos predator sheet for CSM despite it now having a plastic kit, and still nothing for the kratos for traitors.

best delivery vehicle is probably going to remain the land raider for the support it provides along with the transport, or going full classic rhino rush. storm eagle isn't a completely terrible option either since you can cram a lot of angry dudes in there
