Hey all,

It's been a long time since I took part in the hobby and I'm looking through my old things.

I found these very old school Dark Elves that were given to me more than a decade ago and I'm curious what they're worth as I can't find many of them online at all.

According to this site (http://www.collecting-citadel-miniatures.com/wiki/index.php/Dark_Elf_(WHFB_4th/5th_Edition)_-_Collectors_Guide) I have the following:

Champion 1
Musician 1
S.Bearer 1
Assassin 2
Sorcerer
Various Swordsmen and Spearmen (And two NIB boxes of plastic swordsmen)
Witch Elves
Corsairs
3 Cold ones (not sure if I have the knights though)
A bolt thrower set

Pictured are most (but not all) of the minis that I have in my possession. I'm curious about how desirable they are, and what they're worth nowadays. If anyone could help me out it'd be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

Welcome!

Swap Shop isn't the best place since chatter on threads messes up the post order. Dakka Discussions would be a better place.

As far as valuations go, there isn't much discussion on Dakka about that topic. There are several Facebook groups dedicated miniatures valuations that are worth a look if you are on there. Also, eBay sold listings are another resource people utilize to try and come up with valuations. Keep in mind there that ebay can be very swingy, so you need to average out some high and low numbers. People also tend to knock off 15% from ebay sold prices when valuing items for a private sale to account for eBay fees.

Other things to consider: selling individual minis usually leads to a higher per-mini price, but requires more effort to coordinate, pack, and ship. Selling in groups tends to be easier, but expect less money per-mini. Make sure you know how much it will cost to ship something before agreeing on a sale. I've known folks who have lost money or backtracked on sales because they under estimated shipping (especially international).

Those figures are absolutely worthless...

You should give them to me, so I can dispose of them properly.

Seriously, though...

You have a good batch there. Aside from not having the bases, you have to separate them into the figures classification, then go from there.

Easy one, those plastics, would be around 10.00 per box. They have newer edition "Old World" figures, but there are a lot of oldhammer players that love the old figures. 10.00 bucks on the auctions would do you well. And if you get more, that's all the more the better.

Everyone else would be by their unit-

Executioners, 5-25 each, or by unit maybe around 50 bucks.

Witches, 5-25 each, or by unit maybe 50 bucks.

Assassin, 10-50 bucks

Dark Elf Sorcerer, 1

Bolt thrower, The second guy for the Bolt thrower MIGHT BE, right on the end of the Executioner batch. (He's the guy with the sword, and pointing forward.) If not, He's a Dark Elf Champion for the Spearmen.
The Bolt thrower is about 25-30.00.

And finally, the Cold Ones you have three without tails. so that's going to affect what people are going to want to pay, but their going to want them, then get the tails somewhere else.

Once again, if you can add in the square bases, that would make them a little more, but in all, My assessment was in Generality, based on E Bay, and based on what I have paid for them in the past. YMMV.

I hope that helps. You have a great set there.
