The rule says i roll 12 dice, and can reroll all, but one dice. So i put one dice aside, and reroll 11, then put one dice aside, and reroll 10. I continue to do this until i have one dice left. The rule says that ".....those remaining dice become your fate dice for the battle." The 11 dice i put aside are now my fate dice for the battle ?

It doesn't say that at all. You roll 12 dice. If you don't like the results then you roll 11 dice, and so on. The extra die doesn't get 'put aside', it ceases to exist.

So you are saying those remaining dice is the one dice left ? How can those remaining dice be one dice ? Those remaining dice is plural, and one dice is singular.

GW calls a single die a Single Dice. Dice is singular and plural in the GW rules realm because thats how they decided it is.

Yes but "those" is plural. If GW wanted to mean that the single dice is the fate dice they should say that (or this) remaining dice.

Also, where does the idea come from that the one dice that doesnt get rerolled ceases to exist ? The rule doesnt say anything like that at all.

It does not say to "put one dice aside" at all.

You don't put 1 of the 12 dice aside, if you choose to roll again, you "roll one less dice" so you would roll 11. And if you didn't like it again, you would roll 10 dice. etc "(or until you only have a single D6 remaining)."

Hope this helps you to understand the rule.

Ok, i reroll with one less dice, and continue to do so, until i am left with one dice. The rule says those remaining dice are my fate dice. How can one dice be those remaining dice, which is plural ? Those remaining dice can only refer to the dice which havent been rerolled, because those are more than one.

And where in the rule does it say that those dice which arent rerolled cease to exist, are discarded, or arent counted towards my fate dice ?

Because of the context.

It says "You can continue re-rolling all of the dice in this manner, rolling one less D6 each time you do, until you are satisfied with the results rolled (or until youonly have a single D6 remaining)."

Then it says "When you are satisfied with the results rolled, those remaining dice become your Fate dice..." So if you do not re-roll you get 12 fate dice.

When it says "those remaining dice become your Fate dice..." it is talking about the dice you re-rolled if you opted for that route, be it 11,4, or 1. And if you got down to 1, those dice (The ones you re-rolled be it 11,4, or 1) become your Fate dice.

It has to say "those remaining dice" because you could have 11, or 6.

The only time it sounds weird is if you have one, but GW uses dice for a single die all the time. So no issues here.

I dont see how "those remaining dice" only refer to those dice that have been rerolled. It could be 6 dice i rerolled, or 6 dice which havent been rerolled.

One remaining dice cannot be those remaining dice. If thats what GW means the rule should say those remaining dice, or that remaining dice are now you fate dice.

No one but you is confused about this one. You’ve misunderstood; it is not, however, unclear.

This. Minor grammatical niggles are not obscuring the intent and how to play the rule.

I'm not convinced he's "confused".

It would never come up in real play anyway, since no one is going to get 11 rolls that are so terrible that they would be happier with a single die.
