I'm trying to build some Plague Drones and have run into a problem. The models sit on clear plastic rods to give them the appearance of flight and none of my glues seem to be able to properly attach these rods to the base or the model. I've tried my standard plastic cement which might as well be water on the clear plastic and I tried super glue which was only slightly better.

I'm thinking maybe some sort of two part epoxy, but I figured it would be good to ask here first.

Flight rods are acrylic, which plastic glue probably isn't going to work with. I've always preferred Loctite super glue: any of the containers with the long nozzles for better control.

Most people will glue the flight stand to the base, but not the model for ease of storage.

There’s also the other option: thin brass rod painted black. I saw this recently from another Dakkanaut here, and it looks almost invisible. Surprisingly less intrusive than the acrylic rods.

Plus the tip won't snap off inside your model!
