Making Irn Warrierz for 10th edition. You can include a specific amount of points of rubric, khorne, and plague marines in your generic CSM army. Is there any way to include the world eaters lord on juggernaut in my army?

Legends has rules for CSM juggerlords. But I bet in the next minutes a competitive smartass is telling you that Legends are baaaaaad.

You don't need to do this on a game by game basis - unless you only ever play each person once.....
At worst you do it on a player by player basis.

Well as soon as the other person gets to know what legends it, there will be a talk about it. Especialy if the opponent has no legends units to use and gains nothing from his opponent using legend stuff.

damn. that sucks. I understand named characters but surely if you can take berzerkers it wouldn't be hard be able to take him too. The legends rules for the chaos lord on juggernaut are good IMO though, So I guess I'll just buy the model and use it as a counts-as.

I've never actually used legends in 9th or 10th. Why is it seen as objectionable to use them? it's official rules after all.

You misunderstood.
My comment has nothing to do with the quality of the rules, but the quality of the opponent.
I meant that you have this conversation once per person concerning non-tourney play. Those who'll deny your use of edition valid rules are then crossed off your list of potential opponents as they've proven to be not worth your time.

Which most pick-up games seem to behave like even if they aren't, even if both participants KNOW it's a friendly game.

That's an extremely location based issue and it's only communities that seem obsessed with tournament rules that do it.
