Ok, so I went and revisited a finecast Tau commander mini that I had made a long time ago. I decided I wanted to make him into a custom Commander Farsight for my swamp Tau. He was from back in 6th or 7th I think, back when support commanders were good. Here is how he looked before...

And the glow up.

I rebased him, 3D printed a custom sword and added his plasma. I then had to be careful that the colors matched and that the new additions looked pretty seamless.

I also have started to use a good lightbox and gimp to edit and hopefully improve the quality of my uploads.

Correct. Despite countless millennia of evolution, technological advances and civilization, we're still monkeys throwing feces at things we don't like.-Zed.

Imperial Flyers don't actually "fly" they just go fast enough that they fall in an arc that keeps them parallel to the ground. -Clockwork Zion

I like the use of the Tau drone on the shoulder. I think I have that bit somewhere and might have to steal that idea myself.

Ask yourself: have you rated a gallery image today?

Thanks, this scheme is a lot of fun. The bases give me anxiety (they take multiple pours of resin to get depth), but I like how they turn out.

I saw someone's kitbash in a flgs and I knew I had to do that with mine.

Thanks! The sword was fun. Tried to make a molten iron look to it.
