Having bought Kingsblade (2017) and Knightsblade (2018), 5 years later we're still waiting for the final instalment in the trilogy. Has Andy Clark got bored of the story? Will he ever write the final part? I've asked Black Library and they fobbed me off with some marketing rubbish about letting everyone know when they hear anything.

Am I right to feel annoyed that I've bought two thirds of a trilogy that I might never get to finish?

It happens all the time. Some series get cut short cause the author moves onto other things; some series don't sell as well as others so BL pulls funding and puts the author to work on series/books that do sell. And sometimes authors just take utterly ages to finish a series *glares at GRRM and Game of Thrones*

I share a birthday with GRRM. Each year it's a reminder he's also one year closer to the grave and will never, ever finish ASOIAF...

Look on the bright side! If book 3 never arrives you can imagine whatever plot twists & ending makes you happy.

It's like when I was a kid in the 70s/80s watching Star Wars.
The Clone Wars, & how Anikan fell to the dark side becoming Darth Vader, though mentioned, weren't defined.
Then along came Episodes I-III. :(
I'm not sure exactly what I'd envisioned - but I know it was better than what Lucas ultimately showed me....

If I can remember what the story was by then. I don't think I'll be re-reading the first two books if there isn't a third!

Black Legion series is waiting on a third book.

Spear of the Emperor feels like it deserves a sequel.

I think now that seige of terra is winding to a close, some of the big name writers who where busy with the Heresy stuff'll have some freedom to go back to other stuff..
