Based on a Warhammer Crime Inspired Wrath and Glory Campaign Last Year

Entry 1: Enforcer Renquist Bastion P, Polaris Sector, Verangatula, Alecto. Enforcer Squad Beta.

Our squad responded to a mass shooting near a plaza next to an Agranx Corporation building. Several corporate employees had been shot. Our squad neutralized the shooter and secured the scene. Then the probators took over. Later that day Probator Njal tasked us with raising a drug den in one of the low end hab units, operated by one of the local gangs. Njal seemed to think that the shooting was linked to a hallucinogenic street drug that had recently hit the street.
We hit the den hard, neutralizing several recidivists and capturing a gang lieutenant. We retrieved several encrypted data slates and turned them over to Njal.

Entry 2:

Njal tasked our squad with going after the top tier gang leader. We baited him with a false offer made over the data veil to release his lieutenant. This led to a meeting in an abandoned hab at the edge of the district. By the Emperor’s grace we cut the gang leader and four of his top men down. We all took bullets, but our armor held, and no one was severely injured. Another successful operation. But it all seemed too cut and dry for my taste. There’s always something more going on in this city.

Entry 3:

Probator Njal has gone traitor and we are on the hunt for him. He ordered the release of the gang lieutenant without permission, and disappeared. We were ordered to find him and bring him back to the Bastion for questioning. It wasn’t difficult, his vox signal was actively broadcasting a distress signal from a low end hab unit. We made entry…and found the Probator. He was dead, murdered brutally. And then I heard a voice. ++++Redacted to Protect the Soul of the Reader from Temptation++++ We ducked out of the way of the explosion and it was gone.

Entry 4:

Our Senior Probator Larana put the pieces together. Duke Vellington, the President of Agranx Corporation, has a daughter, Samantha Vellington that is a rogue psyker. The family tried to cure her through the development of an experimental psychic suppressive drug which they sold to the street gangs to recoup the development costs. That endeavor ultimately failed, she rebelled against her family and went missing. Njal tried to cover things up because he was taking bribes from the corporation and so was trying to track the girl down himself. It didn’t work out well for him. At my suggestion we came up with a plan to publicly announce that Duke was going to leave Alecto to begin serving as an officer in the Astra Militarum. This would presumably lure Samantha out, as it would represent one last chance for her to kill her father.

The plan worked…up until it didn’t. Samantha showed up at the space port just like we thought, and brought hell with her. She ++++Redacted++++ and my squad mate Claude caught on fire. I had her in my sights and had to make a choice. Pull the trigger and kill the target or save Claude who was burning up. I chose to help Claude, and probably saved his life. But the mission ended in failure. Duke fled the scene and Samantha hijacked the space craft. She is believed to be off world now. I’ve been told that I’m suspended from duty now. We all are. Things aren’t looking good. Emperor…did I make the right choice?

Part II: Campaign 2:

Entry 1: I been waited for the inevitable loss of my job, my career. It didn't come, because another offer did. I was approached by a mysterious man bearing the seal of the inquisition. I was told that I was being offered a new job, a new life, in Service to the Emperor as an Acolyte to an Inquisitor. In reality, I knew it wasn't an offer...not a real one, and it wasn't a real choice for me. So I accepted. The next thing I knew I was onboard a void ship and leaving my city and my world far behind. Eventually I was informed that we were in warp, and on our way to the Gilead System. I had never heard of it, but then again before a few days ago I knew nothing beyond my city.

I wondered what I would be asked to do when we arrived...if we arrived.

Entry 2: I lost track of the time in the warp. I remember countless sleepless nights, and being un-nerved being surrounded by many strange folk from off world. But I steadied my nerves by focusing on keeping my skills sharp. I knew they would be put to use eventually.

Entry 3: I've been informed that the voidship has reached its destination. We're in the Gilead system now. I'm being assigned to work for Interrogator Mendex. The briefing mentioned something about infiltrating a cemetary moon called Daedalus to search for some kind of xenos artifact. Xenos? So they're real after all?

Entry 4: My new team, comprised of my old enforcer squad mate Quillon and a Tempestus Scion infiltrated Daedalon disguised as corpses. We were tasked with recovering a xenos artifact called the Revelator which was supposedly hidden in the tomb of some noble. We made an arrangement with a local gang to help us secure transportation and act as our guide to the crypt and probable location of the relic. Once we got inside the complex, we managed to ditch the gangers and retrieve the relic. There was something horrible in that tomb though that was guarding the relic it was...[Redacted] I sustained a minor injury but recovered. The creature was put down in a hail of bullets and plasma gun fire from the Scion.

Then Mendex arrived in her ship to take us back into the void.

Entry 5: The Interrogator explained that the Great Rift had caught off the Gilead system from the rest of the Imperium and that as a result, it was slowly dying. Although the Rogue Trader Varonis had managed to cross the rift by some miracle, and had brought much needed relief, regular travel across the stars had become too dangerous for any kind of regular supply ships to arrive in system. The revelator however could fix that. She explained that this xenos technology would allow for interstellar travel without the use of a navigator. I had reservations but I was in no position to question a member of the Inquisition. A few weeks passed in the void, and then suddenly, we were informed that Mendex was ready to test the device. I watched her activate it...and then we heard [Redacted] and she disappeared into a small warp rift. The ship itself was sent to the edge of the system and we soon discovered that the Interrogator was broadcasting a distress signal from inside a nearby space hulk. We also figured out that without her help, we could not control the ship. We had no choice, we had to find Mendex and bring her back...hopefully in one piece, and uncorrupted by chaos.
