Hey guys! My bottle of Eryone water-washable grey resin is coming to an end, and I'm wondering if it's time for an upgrade. My current setup is a Creality LD-002H (2k mono) printer with an elegoo Mercury somethin-or-other wash and cure station (separate stations, and I love them). I'm expecting a MARS 4 DLP for christmas, though.

My cones of calibration seem to print properly (all successes print, all failures fail, though there are some mini-cones) but the keyed bits that I print tend to not fit together especially well. In particular I'm printing Mr Modulorka stuff of late, which often has a plug-and-recess for attaching the bits together.

Given that I don't have 8k+ resolution, I'm hoping to find a resin that's a bit sturdier than what I'm currently using, but also something that when I get the DLP will print accurately enough for my bits to fit together properly.

Any/all advice appreciated!

thanks,
Coh

The whole 4K, 8K thing on resin is 100% marketing and nothing to do with the actual "resolution" save that higher K values tend to mean a higher grade of resin that will (no matter the resolution of the printer) hold details better in general.

Right now I'm using Aqua 8K grey and really enjoying it. Prints easily, is fairly decently firm when printing and holds great detail.

I was using Aqua 4K before and that also holds great details, but could flex a little more during printing so it needed slightly stronger supporting now and then.

Lately I've been using Jayo ABS-like, and for a cheap resin is surprisingly nice.

SunLu Labs ABS like. Top notch. Never had any misprints since I switched, can pluck the figures off the supports without a trace or any damage. Have dropped a few without any breakage, not even spears and such.
At around 20-30 € a litre very affordable.
