I ran across this video, and was happy to see that they were using Men of Bronze for a Battle of Marathon scenario.




There is a nice intro showing off some museum artifacts, some discussion of the battle, and then they get into it. Pretty good presentation by Mark's Game Room too, with special guest Herodotus!

I've found that wargames as a means of reenactment or strategy exercise is has got a fair bit of support lately.

Despite all its limitation, I think it's a very cinematic way to make things alive and less abstract.

40k: Necrons/Imperial Guard/ Space marines
Bolt Action: Germany/ USA
Project Z.

Yes, I have heard more about wargaming in the news lately than I recall from the 80's and 90's. Maybe recency bias though.

In other news, Mark's Game Room invited me on to talk a bit about Men of Bronze. A bit tongue in cheek title and intro.....




I am very appreciative of the chance to talk a bit about the game and designing wargames with fellow gamers/designers.
