Subject: Torch and Shield - Mordheim in Moria with Landsknecht Dwarves
Not seeing anything about this on this site, and since it's both hit all of its stretch goals and become fully funded, I thought I'd come here and poast about it.
It's basically Mordheim but set in dungeons and there's a strong "use the minis and tiles you have!" vibe to it. Gridder like Blood/Dungeon Bowl with a campaign system and an a PVPVE where you have 1d3 rounds where it's safe and you have light mechanics but after your torches go out the monsters emerge from their dens and start stalking your guys. Very interesting game, quickstart rules soon.
It's a mashup of Mordheim, Blood Bowl, with a sprinkling of Space Hulk in terms of the wandering monsters lurking in the dark ready to tear apart both sides if they linger too long.
It's one of those games where the game mechanics really back up the theme and atmosphere, creating this small claustrophobic playing space. The light/darkness mechanic is great, forcing a choice between fight or light.
Balin's Tomb vibes are a great way to set the scene for the game.
One of the most interesting indie games I've seen in a while and really simple to get going with. Will get the pdf for sure and the rest is fairly easy, a box of oathmark dwarves or similar and any dungeon tiles I have to hand, probably my dungeon saga ones
Edit: Here is a link to resources so you can download the quickstart rules and tiles without having to join a discord or facebook group:
I like the figures, but the bases are too fat. Are those bases removable, or part of the figure?
At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

How this game is even remotely comparable to Mordheim ? It has nothing to do with it !
It's a dungeon crawler skirmish game using mechanisms that are completely different to GW games. Looks promising and all, but I wish people stop calling games Mordheim by some vague feeling of what a Mordheim game looks like.
I still play Mordheim, I know what it is, and dungeon crawling on square based tiles is NOT what Mordheim is.

Well, the answer is the store should be ready next months, and it'll be on their website, so I guess check back here when I edit this post with the link.
