Here is my casual IW CSM list.

Chaos lord with plasma pistol and power fist with eye of tzeentch enhancement (105PTS)

leading unit of chaos legionaries with 7xboltguns 1xsergeant with cursed weapon and plasma pistol, 1xheavy bolter, 1xmissile launcher (180PTS)

sorcerer with force weapon and bolt pistol (60PTS)

leading unit of chaos legionaries w/ 7xboltguns 1xsergeant w/ power fist and plasma pistol, 1xheavy bolter, 1xmissile launcher (180PTS)

rhino w/ havoc launcher, combi weapon, armoured tracks (sorcerer legionaries embarked within) (75PTS)

10x plague marines w/ 7x boltguns, plague knives 1xsergeant w/ plasma pistol, heavy plague weapon, 1xblight launcher, plague knife, 1x meltagun, plague knife. (160PTS)

Land raider w/2xlascannon, havoc launcher, combi weapon, armoured tracks. (plague marines embarked inside) (240PTS)

1000 pts exactly.

Let me tell you guys my plan: the plague marines will disembark from the land raider and hold some objectives and pick out heavy/light infantry, the rhino marines lead by the lord will disembark and provide decent shooting buffed by the lord leading them, hopefully earning some CP because of the chaos lord's tzeentch enhancement. The sorcerer legionaries will serve as decent shooting guys, probably picking out infantry and cannon fodder grots/cultists/guardsmen etc. the sorcerer s just to fill out the slot and for his buffs and a nasty psychic attack, they're just kinda there to be clones of the other guys (I think having the same unit on opposite sides of the table like a pincer movement with the same loadouts might be effective against infantry heavy armies)
The Land raider will probably just stay where it was when the plague marines left it and just pound the enemy with the lascannons. Thinking of adding some cultists/rubrics/predators or a vindicator to a 2k list. Thoughts?

Fellow iron warriors fan here. You do not need the Landraider - just take a Rhino. On the difference take a Forgefiend or a 20-man cultist unit. Otherwise it's fine.

yeah it's a more casual list, so I'm really just trying to find the balance between good units and what looks cool/is fun to paint. I love lascannons, they could be really gakky but for me, AP-3 is just too good to pass up, and the range is great too, not sure how I'd have it deploy the marines, would falling back work? I'm not so familiar with that rule. Also I am trying to get better to paint a forgefiend, I don't have the skills at the moment.
