Trying my hand at creating some miniatures from scratch. Sculpted and painted Dwarf Cyborgs admech style with mechanical tentacle legs. Sorry for the crappy photos. Working on close combat ones next. Rip away

I applaud anyone who sculpts minis from scratch. I recently just did one myself, so I appreciate how difficult it is 
Despite the blown out photos, I can make out some good detail. I like these guys and I look forward to better photos some day.

Thanks! Too be honest ive been trying my hand at sculpting for years with no success. Just keep working at it i guess. Lots of green stuff and home made wire armatures as a base. Leanred along time ago to buy a dentist tool set for doing the actual sculpting.

I not only I applaud anyone who sculpts minis from scratch! But double applaud anyone who sculpts Dwarfs!
At some point I need to do a dwarf sculpting me self. It is not easy, and time consuming, but if it is fun it is worth it.
Have your tried sculpting over cheap army men?

I sculpted over cheap toys, and the process has been much more enjoyable!

Yeah thats a good example. I decided to go with a faceless screen or plate for these ones to show how uniform and nameles these melee guys are compared to the ray gun guys. Almost like drones

Decided to do up some humanoid cyber thralls. Gonna do a couple more and get them cast so that I can make an army of them to go with the Cyborg Dwarfs

Yeah i think your spot on on the dwarfish look. They might be a tad too tall for that. May have to give them gas masks or such.
