There are multiple threads covering some games from Modiphius but there is no thread dedicated to the entire range from that company. If mods are ok then let it be a place to discuss anything Modiphius related. I will start with a new incoming March 2024 book for Rangers of Shadow Deep:
"With the evils of the Shadow Deep clawing at his borders, the King of Alladore sent out a call to every realm, a summoning of heroes to come and stand against the darkness. In truth, he had little hope that his plea would be answered, and it is true that no large armies have come to Alladore’s aid, but help has come! Mainly they came in ones and twos, or small unassuming groups, but they came. Spellcasters, mercenaries, knights-errant, desert nomads... heroes from the lands surrounding Alladore have come to stand with their brothers and sisters. Individually, they seem an insignificant force, but with their skills and special abilities added to those of the rangers, they might just tip the balance!
The 192-page hardcover Rangers of Shadow Deep: A Gathering of Heroes features:
Advanced Character Creation including new Traits and Limitations that players can use to bring greater tactical and narrative variation to their rangers.
Ten ‘Archetypes’ that players can use to create new characters, representing the heroes that have come from the lands around Alladore to join the fight against the Shadow Deep.
Collects five previously stand-alone supplements for the game: Blood Moon, Temple of Madness, Ghost Stone, Incinerator, and Menagerie.
Fifty-two unique enchanted weapons.
A bestiary featuring all the creatures from the core rulebook and all the collected supplements.
Copious new artwork from the visionary of the Shadow Deep, Barrett Stanley.
This book is not a stand-alone game. Players will also need the Rangers of Shadow Deep: Standard Edition. Together, the two books represent the entire first phase of the great war against the Shadow Deep.''

Thanks for starting this now we have a wider selection of wargames rules it makes sense!
We've also got two more releases - County Road Z, which is a base building Zombie apocalypse game - clear out a house, turn it into your base, expand your group, then find a bigger location and develop new facilities to support you in the field. Then Battlespace for those who like their modern day combat - control a unit of Delta Force or SAS etc. Both of these and the above games are what we call Adventure Wargames, which are solo/co-op exclusively and designed to help you tell stories on the tabletop. The idea is we're now doing four yearly collections of games which bring you new co-op/solo wargames (and other innovative projects).
It is getting one yes (the beta-version is still available at the Call to Arms downloads page for an idea). Predominantly just changes to the layout and formatting to make it easier to navigate, and rolling in some of the errata and FAQs to tidy up the wording. A couple of more substantial changes to things like Adversary activation behaviour and (after some nagging...) adjustments to the different elemental damages so that there's a reason to use anything other than fire.
Last I heard, it was in layout stage and should be coming in the early(ish) part of 2024 and Modiphius were going to send out a physical copy free of charge (sans postage) to anyone who bought the original.

I pre-ordered Battlespace, enjoy comes with a PDF of both the rules, cards, and the tools to make your own cards. The last bit is extremely nice if you want to make custom forces - which I do.
I haven't done much more than skim the book this far, but the system seems solid and the solo aspect lends itself to the ups and downs of a good action novel.
Looking forward to digging in further...

Essentially a more streamlined version of Wasteland Warfare to make the on-board to the game less daunting (which I can only agree with). Timely (probably deliberately so) given the uptick in interest for the game because of the show. Sucks that Factions got delayed with the logistical issues but this is something at least.

I pre-ordered and read the PDF. I'm really excited. It's the kind of rule book that gets you inspired to try new things, write a story, kitbash some minis

The setting is just some window dressing, as in five Parsecs from home it works well for Necromunda, Star Wars, Blackstone Fortress, Star Trek or any other. The archetypes species just help to get a rough image, and the story events are very generic. Substituting The Unity faction with the empire or Republic, Precursor species with Eldar or Vulcans, it works in pretty much any setting, at least for me.
Edit: the army builder is really great in my opinion, because it is very flexible on which species archetypes may work together.
A squad of soulless (Amy kind of robot), hulkers (Orks/Goliath), and sulkers (Skaven in space) can work together and take a specialist sniper of Krag (dwarves/halflings).
This could be any fluffy army in a lot of settings.

So Modiphius are moving the distribution in the UK over the coming weeks. Any orders placed after the 5th July will face delays, but it should not impact Factions release unless other items were added to the order. The email also states that the new distribution partner will allow for reduced shipping costs and vastly improved shipping times. All in all, sounds pretty decent.

About time. Those shipping prices were baffling from the outside looking in and were seemingly a hindrance to direct sales.

Modiphius appears to have put up pre orders for their Mass Effect boardgame. Also a bunch of additional resin miniatures that look pretty decent. They're definitely not cheap, but I think this is the first time quality Mass Effect miniatures have actually been produced.

Looks very good and those sculpts are nailing it. Detail will be extremely sharp if it's Modiphius. Not cheap but not outside of what I'd expect for cast resins these days. Almost certainly either a TTRPG or a Skirmish wargame coming down the line.

I remember playing one of the Mass Effect games and it was very disappointing. For a dating sim there was too much sci-fi action and adventure getting in the way!
Casual gaming, mostly solo-coop these days.

Are there any pics of the minis that come with the core game? Strangely the only preview that includes them in the overall shot is a low res far away view of the components. They look like alternate pose sculpts of the figs in the seperate Heroes box but it's hard to tell.

A small scale skirmish game played on 2x2 or 3x3 would be cool. It's a shame the boardgame doesn't include Geth, as I think those would make for fantastic miniatures, they were one of the coolest enemies in the games IMO. Hopefully this stuff sells decently and we get more Mass Effect tabletop content down the line.
