Lots of good changes and quite an interesting new Steamroller. Definitely excited to play some more.

Very interested in how it plays. Especially how playing on tables with up to 14 pieces of terrain works, as for a long time I have felt WM uses too little terrain.

Anything that makes WM/H look better on the table is a positive thing and will contribute to it hopefully clawing back some of its market share.

That's definitely been the big improvement in my mind. MK4 plays with terrain significantly better than before now that rough terrain no longer takes 4+ inches of movement away and units no longer require 6x10" of open field to charge across. I've been trying to find a point where I've got too much terrain on the table and haven't really hit it yet. 80 mm+ destroying scatter terrain really fixes the last concern I had with going wild with dense battlefields.

The new Steamroller is a lot of fun and a real shakeup after over a decade of SR following the same formula (and a lot of other systems copying that formula). The scatter terrain we have to try more, but what we've had on the table has been interesting.

Going second might be stronger in certain scenarios for certain armies, but I am not 100% convinced we are at SR2023 "going first is nearly always preferable".

It seems to depend on the scenario. There's a few where going second seems a lot better, but others where going 1st can be important. Stealing table space is hard to pass up.

We had a pretty big local tournament last weekend. 16 people, haven't seen attendace like that on a local tourney since mid mk3! Half of them new or returning (mk1-2!) players, many with mk4 armies.

New SR is indded a breath of fresh air, more terrain is awesome and still even 12+ pieces don't nerf shooty armies to the point they can't do their thing.

Some nice models and 2.5d terrain, Cyel!

Yeah, it's really picking up again. Had a tourney ourselves yesterday, second in less than a month
